It would be great if we could search for a specific song like "song of storms" or "brinstar". I suppose it wouldn't work for all songs, but most would be applicable if you included aliases for common song names. That could be helpful in the case where the real name isn't always used like "midna's lament" is also known as "midna's desperation", and "midna's desperate hour" (and I still don't remember which one is official.)

I know what you are asking for, and this isn't quite it, but; if you search a game it will tell you each source and how many mixes exist of it. For example:
http://ocremix.org/game/11/final-fantasy-iv-snes You can see there are 7 mixes of the main theme, 1 for Hey, Cid! and so on. |

While the search by game feature is a decent substitute, it would be great to have a search by song option. That way, when songs are redone game-by-game, you can get a list of every remixed arrangement. The Super Mario Bros. theme, for example, is everywhere. It's got official remixes that are then remixed. Search by Game isn't much help there.

Well, you can find the mixes this way:
http://ocremix.org/quicksearch/remix/?qs_query=brinstar But I suppose if you were looking for a song without any mixes, for whatever reason, that wouldn't be good enough... |
