Computer's MIDI synthesizer > Soundfont
Does anyone have a link to that program that creates a .sf2 from your computer's MIDI synth? I'm not sure how to search for it again.

I've never heard of that program. You mean it takes the .mid samples in your computer already and makes a soundfont out of it?

I think he means like a program that'll download the sounds from your microsoft GS wavetable synth and creating a soundfont from it.

That's what I meant too. I've never heard of it, but I'll be looking for it too because that sounds pretty badass - not to mention the possibilities of others posting theirs.
Edit: This looks like a start at least: http://win984u.webs.com/synthsfordownload.htm

Yeah, SnappleMan worded it better than I could.
IIRC, my computer created some pos 28mb sf2. I miss it ;_; |

Download Viena, open the gm.dls file in your Windows/system32/drivers folder and convert it to sf2. |

Well apparently not, it worked on my laptop with the built-in soundcard without any problems.
