The Official SNESology Thread - Update - *Gradius III - Twin Jupiter*
Hello everyone!
Our SNESology Contest results will be posted after the New Year! Have a HAPPY HOLIDAY BREAK! Welcome to the Official SNESology Thread!  About: SNESology is a collection of diverse original tracks made with soundsets developed to emulate classic SNES era game music. Headed and started in May by musical powerhouse Shnabubula, he has since invited many musical artists from around the community to produce their own SNES music w/ soundsets created by himself w/ the help of a few others. Featured Artists: Shnabubula Monobrow some1namedjeff (Jeff Ball) RoeTaKa (Alex Roe) Pongball Long Dao Toby "Radiation" Fox mv (Xavier Dang) sleepytimejesse Meteo Xavier Velathnos coda Mari Lascelles Txai Info: Not to be confused w/ Shnabubula's initial SNESology album (which is quite rad), BUT to be associated, this thread is all inclusive for whichever related links/videos/releases/press we receive in regard to SNESology. That's great news. I enjoy Shnab's album, and am also interested in checking out the soundsets once they're released!

So SNESology artists:
Shnabubula and Pongball are both going to be using an original SNES soundset created by Shnabubula for an upcoming game, Americana Dawn! Here's a link to a demo song w/ some of the instruments created thus far! More to come soon!

So is this an open project for others to join in on or is it just by invitation only?
Cause I'd love to get in on this if possible, but I know Sam would never send me an invite.

It's neither invite only or fully open at the moment. If you want to make something, you can ask either myself or Sam, though it's probably easier to get in touch w/ me right now.
We do have a certain standard to adhere to (such as sticking as close to the SNES SMP as possible) and a bar on quality of music we are willing to post, we just ask that you put your most enthusiastic/fun/best foot forward... There is no competition, every artist we spotlight can bring something different to the table. We also have our own sample sets (not quite done yet) that we are sending out in private to artists who want to contribute. So, if anyone wants to contribute, PM me, and we can try to work something out.
