I'm posting this just because I'm pretty proud of finally getting this recorded and all in one take

Playing from memory? Wow! I used to do that all the way until jazz band finally forced my hand. Seriously, I memorized Moonlight Sonata for a recital once, of all things...
If I could make one personal suggestion... force yourself to sight-read regularly if you don't already. It's so very valuable and I wish I hadn't relied on memorization so much and had practiced sight-reading earlier. But nice job! |

Thanks for the reply and sorry I'm so slow in getting back myself.
I try to memorize because well, "piano happens". I've been in a few situations where I've come across a random piano and although I knew how to play, I couldn't remember how to do anything from memory. I've tried to make it a goal since then to memorize everything so when I come across one randomly... I can sit down and play to impress :D I definitely try to sight read and learn to play new stuff all the time! It's challenging though! |
