I've had this one for a while. Like, months. I told him back then, "This is OCR quality," or at least I thought so. anyway, I like the use of synth and the tempo changes aren't as annoying as they could be. It sounds like a standard dance track with a good intro and outro and could possibly be used in a club (at least I see it as possible). D

Gee, more Arkanoid :) It's damn worth it though. This is an excellent arrangement. Nice mixture of instrumentation (I dig the mixture of the reverbed and non-reverbed instruments). Pretty solid stuff here. Add this to your Arkanoid collection.

This mix has just enough goodness in it for me to pass over the fact that it uses 'gamy' fm synthy type sounds.

The simple square wave sounds do not work for me. I find them pretty repulsive. Yet when the non-NES sounding lead comes in, it's buried by other things.
Tempo changes are good, and I just love echoey cymbal work. Overall this is very dull, there's some minor variation on the themes but this track sounds lifeless and cookie-cutter. and, for this to be played in a club you would need a long percussive intro for the DJ to crossfade into. but, that has nothing to do with my decision. :) no |

I'm not too into these kinds of songs because they are usually overly simplistic. However, I can recognize talent when I see it. I like the style. It would be fun to play this at a party or to just listen to at home. Interesting take on the original. |
