Castlevania 'Wicked Orchestra'

One of my favourite Peeple's pieces. The mix starts out using fairly stern strings and hits to build the mood, then a cool drum loop enters the fray which is assisted by some tambourine and extra hats on occasion, and although not really that original, really works and adds real pace to the song. Lotsa reverb here, ok panning, and a good choice of sounds. Would have been great if Peeps could have gotten some slightly more realistic strings, as it would have made the mix sound quite professional (somebody get this guy an expensive synth dammit!!). The aforementioned drums are a little loud and while I don't hear any real distortion, it's awfully close to breaking (just lucky the drums are in the centre mainly on their own). Nice work, and the alternating of different strings to play the same melody adds a little more interest.

My favorite work of Peeples :) I just totally dig those pizzicato strings, hands down. This mix is totally wicked, and it does kick major ass. Strongly recommended for all.

About 3 months before this remix was posted, I did a CD with Castlevania-Midi files from the net, recorded on my own equipment. One of the files on classicgaming.com s castlevania dungeon sounds EXACTLY like this one... So the question is: Did Scott submit a midi file, did he rearrange the midi file, or did he simply rerecord the midifile... who knows.. it sounds better than my version, so I guess that's ok

This is one of my favorite Castlevania remixes....I love the fact that it's upbeat, yet still keeps the traditional theme going...this is one that can get addicting very quickly. ;)

This song eats and controls my brain. It is one of my favorite pump songs, and I listen to it a ton before big competitions. But as Jivemaster said it isn't all that great as far as the quality scale. But who really cares? I love it.

Great introduction, great build up, and awesome rhythm sequences. 10/10 for this song, I highly suggest this well thought out, creatively initiated, catchy song! YAY for Scott!
