From the second the theme kicked in on this ReMix, I knew I was going to enjoy it. The swamp theme has always been a very emotive piece, and... wait, what's this? COMPLETELY DIFFERENT DIRECTION. An interesting theme on the Topsail theme, with a nice spin on the original melody. This piece has some excellent flow to it, and I enjoy the wind instruments, which go nicely with the theme of the piece. Overall, a strong first showing, and the commitment to the work really shows throughout. It's nice to see something different done with the DKC2 source material; no offense to Prot, but it's nice to see the veritable monopoly being broken up. Well done.

EDIT: I'd also like to point out the irony in this pieces resemblences to Protricity's FFV mix, when DKC2 is undisputably Proticity's turf. I'll shut up now.

Ever since the early versions of this song and collecting numerous versions of it, it's finally on ocr. I really like the original, and agree with the style used in this song. Good to see new people makin DKC 2 remixes.

and bonus points cuz my gf will like it

I said it once before, and I will say it again and again till the day I die: "You my boy Bliz!"

Wonderful first OCR song, truly something to be proud of. Larry did say it best: "Respect."

Wow...this was all from the source material? That's absolutely, completely, crazily awesome. This remix is amazing...I just love a nice feel-good song every once and a while, and this is most definately one of the songs I'll turn to.

Kudos.

This remix starts with the Swamp Theme, and continues after that with the Rigging Theme.

The orchestra is very pleasant.

The instruments move me of natural form.I do not hesitate. This is a good remix. The Rigging Theme is perfect to make an orchestra.

This remix is ingenious.

Blizihizake made a great work!!!

Wow. Great stuff here, Blake. I've been a fan of this track since I heard the early WIP.

Orchestration is solid all around, dynamics, eq, articulation are all spot on. Excellent arrangement.

Congratulations. You're an inspiration to all of us too poor to spend money on samples. :D

This mix has been up on the WIP's since god know's when, and even when I listened to it as a WIP, I still loved it. I think this is something even Protricity, the DKC master himself, would be proud of. Props to you, man.
