ToeJam and Earl 'James Brown in Space'
DJP has mixed loud the way I like it. I can't believe how many people don't use the whole range that's available to them while mixing - put it up to the ceiling boyz!! Synths and pads everywhere, with the synth bass keeping the sanity. Synth lead lines come in and out all the time, taking turns at playing the main melody, and the EQ (particularly the mids) make the mix crisp and bright. Now is there a snare in here? Because I can't hear it if there is. It might be the original shining through here, but I really like the overall funky groove of this track. I was a little sad and worried today but after listening to this song it made me happier. Don't know why! Nice one for the big P. I think Lloydster could have done a little more variation in the track though. However, in it's current state it doesn't get boring, which is good. |

One of my Faves, so upbeat and quick with a lot of style thrown in to make it one of a kind with the pretzel touch, possibly one of the best i've heard

lotta dig that funky bass. i might have preferred a harder beat like with a snare in there as jivemaster mentioned, however i love that tickitta-tickitta drum beat too.
i don't know why, but this remix kinda made me feel like i was cruisin' through the cosmos with the top down, wind whistling through my hair, as i bark at passing asteroids. i know that doesn't make too much sense, but this remix is mentos cool.

Great! The title is also excellent, as the mental image of James Brown certainly made listening more enjoyable.

Daaaang! This remix is excellent! I've been frequenting ocremix for some time, now, but I only bothered to register after hearing THIS remix! I had almost completely forgotten this game- which, by the way, was probably one of the most wacky-fun games I've ever played, but I digress. Wow... I can't find a single thing wrong with this! At all! I dunno, maybe it's a matter of taste, but I find this remix to be absolutely perfect. An INSTANT favorite. Kudos, man. Maaaaajor kudos. :D

Eventhough this remix doesn't give me those Toejam & Earl vibes, it's still a pretty nice remix. Experimental and cool, but a bit too far from the original's funkyness for my taste. Then again this tune rocks so I'm not complaining.

Why doesn't this tune get the respect I think it deserves? For me, it rocks the house.
