Zelda 2 'Temple Trippin''
Well, I guess this isn't a bad mix, but it really doesn't stand out - nothing to incredible or even memorable about it. It's short thoughm which in this case is good - I think this remix would have been much worse if it had been drug out. But overall, unless you're desperate for Zelda 2 Temple mixes, I would move on to a different song. |

This was a nice little jam, but nothing to write home about. Simplicity is a good thing sometimes, and it worked wonders for this song. The already-complex palace theme would really hurt if tampered with too much, so LaRux keeps on the safe side by sticking to the original, yet thumping out some nice trip-hop beats. If you like the original, and you like a good bass drum rhythm, check this out. If you're looking for a big, complicated remix, look elsewhere. If you're in the mood to bob your head to a nice little beat, this is recommended.

This mix is good for the fans of the original sound track. It's more of an updating of the original score from the chiptune to something with a little more meat to it.
It's good, but not great. 3/5

Plays it really safe and comes across as mostly a sound upgrade. It's a good song, but I would have wished that more had been done besides add the drums. I like the bass drum sound, but am not terribly fond of the snare.

This is not worth the download. This theme has been covered by other artists, and they have done a better job with it. There is nothing eyebrow raising about the arrangement and the sound is pretty spot on a soundfonted original.
It seems like the song wants to go just a bit faster than it was programmed. |

Nowadays, this wouldn't have passed, for a number of reasons. Too much of a cover+drums, arrangement-wise hasn't left the NES era. Would be interesting to see what the remixer would do today, tho, as this seems like a first attempt, a MIDI copy with drums, and that was ages ago.

Definately very coverish, kind of surprising that it's here at all. I still enjoyed listening to it, but aside from the drums I couldn't hear anything original. Sounds are aged, especially the snare sample. Not my favorite, but not the worst thing I've heard either.

I couldn't help but chuckle a little when this remix came up on Ormgas. It's pretty much just strings and drums!
Ah well, I guess it was at least something before all these other awesome Temple arrangements came out.

This is about as simplistic and minimalistic as it gets. It's more or less a sound upgrade too. I like it, but I think it would sound better with some stronger bass and kick.

This mix is really bare-bones. It's a very simple and stylistic remake of the original track.
It's a fun piece that I really enjoy listening to.
