University Work- Years 1 and 2
Hello all =D
I thought I'd like to show my creations to you, as I aspire to compose music for games one day, and while I'm nowhere near as good as one can be yet, hopefully I'll get better as the years go by These are all works from my Music technology course from my first two years (Going to start final year later this October, hopefully with actual video game music/remixes!) Year 1: Ghosts vs Left4Dead: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wrJZQkIX6I Walking through Ambience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVjag2k_AiY Year 2: Not so Typical: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkJtDyzcR4Y The Violin Dance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLtvE2Bsekw Inside the Mind of a Violinist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADnSNk7utzY I also made Max/MSP patches, but they were so rubbish I decided not to ever think about them :P I got around 57-63 for these works, so it's average, but I would love any constructive feedback so that I can be ready for some remixing =D. |

Oh what uni you at and what course are you doing? I've just finished my second year of Music Tech and Digital Media and Huddersfield Uni, and yes max/msp is a bastard piece of software, but doesnt it make you feel great when you get it to do even the simplest of things!?
I've just given you work a quick listen and they sound good to me, very experimental and unique. I'll be able to give them a better listen next week, so i'll try and give you more feedback then! |

I go to Lancaster University and I finished my 2nd Year of Music Technology.
Truth be told, before I went to uni, I never knew how to use any of these programs, I was one of those classical musicians, but the reason I chose this course was purely to make game music in the future, as I love listening not only to the actual game music, but the remixes that are created here in OCremix =D But since I have studied music theory, it has helped greatly into making what I have made |
