The Best Soundfonts for these instruments :

Hey i just thought it would be cool if we made a thread where ppl post their favorite soundfonts for certain instruments. Im a noob so i dont really have any favorites, but I'd appreciate it if you could help me out. Here's a starter list for instruments.


Piano:
Distorted Guitar:
Trumpet:
Trombone:
Brass Section:
Strings:

etc etc.


Please post links or whathaveyou regarding any instruments that you think are good soundfonts.

on there, the JL_Trumpet soundfont is a very solid trumpet sound. See if you can find the Marcato Strings soundfont also, it's pretty nice for strings.

For overall orchestral sounds, you may want to check out Squidfont Orchestral and Florestan Woodwinds, which can be found here.

You couold also try www.SF2midi.com . They have way more than hammersounbd but the crap to good ratio sucks(more crap than good stuff, but the good stuff is REALLY NICE). I'd just go for a GM soundfont if you want all those instruments.
