Final Fantasy 9 'Losing Me is Not an Option'
When the intro starts, you’re defiantly not expecting break beat, but just wait for it because that’s exactly what you end up with. That and some kick ass vocal samples, and a very deep bassline. Then at around 2:14, I’m not sure exactly what you hear there, but it makes my ears tingle with delight. I also have to say I love the scratches. Man, this one is a real piece of work. Excellent stuff, DJ Pheonix, I hope you keep this stuff coming. |

Gah, I love this remix. I even love the title. What a beautiful title. Of course, it could also be referenced to a stalker...... but hey, stalking is plenty fun. Right?.. Right?........ Nevermind. I love the crazy little drop of the bass at the end of each bass run, like they pushed an amp off of a cliff. Bwarharhraharharhahrar. I'll have to try that someday. And the "huh", "what", and "<insert whatever that was he said here>" are just delightful. 9 out of 10! WHOOP!

Oooh what a great surprise. The intro threw me off and I almost didn't listen to the entire song. What a loss that would have been. This song is flat out ExcellenT. The bass definitely kicks my ass.

The drums are okay...as is the bass.
The melody is too frantic for my tastes and while I know this is keeping in style with the whole Jungle/D&B thing you went for, but I would have preferred a fast melody as opposed to repeat fire. I dont like the equalising on it and would have preferred louder melodies (though this may be owing to my speakers) I dont like the samples you used for the actual melody...the guitar thing just sounded dry, weird and bad...the bells sounded tolerable, but then there's the repeat firing again...>_< And with regards to the voice samples... Firstly, get more than three. Secondly, make them good ones Thirdly, dont use them cause they ruin the track further. Overall...I dunno, D&B/Jungle fans might like it...but I sure as heck dont.

:) It's a nice song, but i don't think the speechy bits should have been in it, IMHO they ruin an otherwise perfectly good mix.

The song is great, but the 'huh's and 'what's get to be far too much very quickly. The scat/rap parts thrown in add a nice touch, and the song itself is great. Just watch out for repetition, like in the huh/what aspect of the song. I give it an 8 out of 10, which would have been 8.5 if not for the huh/what part.

Strange remix of this song. It starts out odd, but kicks into a rhythm that's certainly toe-tapping. The repetition of the huh and why can be annoying to some, but it's certainly some clever use of piano and light notes here. I give it 8/10, but only just.

Nice mix. I swear I hear 'white power, white, white power, white, white power, white, white power' about 1.4 minutes in, said over and over again. Suspicous.

Dj Pheonix's best work, by far.
The intro kinda sucks onto you, just so you know it's the right song you're listening to, THEN it happens. The drums are a surpirse, at first I thought it would be one of those typical techno mixes but when the drums build even more and the breakbeat is into my bones, the melody kicks in. And I love the way he do it, even though the sample that he uses for the main melodie is a BIT not good, it's used to perfection. Although something I miss in this mix is a more "hold-together-ish" feeling. it feels like the drums is all that matters and then it's just 2-3 different loops all over again. maybe if pheonix had some mroe instruments and stuff in what you could cal the "chorus" Still, a very good remix. Keep it up.
