I've been writing lyrics for my personal projects for half a year, but they've mostly been silly lyrics that I do for fun. My process for writing lyrics is to first think about the subject matter, then brainstorm certain themes I want to portray in the lyrics. After that is done, I move on to making a rough of the lyrics not bothering with rhyming or anything yet. Finally, I go through and create a rhyming scheme out of my rough. I also find it a good idea to ask other peoples opinions on the lyrics before I sit down and record them.

I wanted to know what other people here do for lyrics?
