Final Fantasy 7 'Rape of a Planet'
Glad to have Matt Pollard back, and this track should serve as a good indication why. This is, overall, a well-excecuted version of the Mako Reactor theme. Pollard seems to take some liberties with the melody, but it makes this no less enjoyable. Especially notable for the processing that goes on in some parts of it. |

I think it's a decent song, download it if you like industrial, or you like final fantasy 7. I think it's appropriate to the game and it's excellent in it's genre. However, it doesn't seem to follow the actual game music very much at all, I don't know how I'd rate it. probably between a 6-8 out of 10.

This song was stuck in my head all last night and all through school. i cant even remeber when i wasnt humming the tune to myself. :P I thougth i was very nicely done from begging to end. Nice work!!! :D

I could have sworn I reviewed this biatch...
Anyway, this is one kick. ass. remix. It's super smooth, and although a fair share of people probably wouldn't agree with the distorted drum line, I love it. The bells kick some serious ass, and all the effects and chopping are nice. Especially of note is :56 which gets into a cool sliced-and-diced section similar to the random-melodic slices done in "Face to Face" by Daft Punk. This song also happens to be mixed spectacularly well. Tremendously excellent work from start to finish. :) |

This is another of what I term "Transferrence Mixes" owing to the fact that if I'm not careful, I'll forget where I am and start with the serious imagination gig. It really helps the writing process when the music you listen to helps you envision what you want others to see. Now if it could only help me put that vision into words...

This is an awesome song. You did a great job on this, Matt. I. . . I don't know how to put it, really. Awesome, cool, a good song to listen to at anytime and an expectant wonderful job. :D

A nice mix. The best part about it is how you can tell what part of the soundtrack it's from, but the remixer didn't TIE himself to that song. Instead he went and did a very, very nice Mako Reactor-sounding song that I like a lot.

7 / 10
Nice, quite nice. The instruments are very reminiscent of the actual game. The jittery bits sound great in headphones, also. This remix grinds along, but it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere, to be frank. It's missing a high point, or a climax, so when the song finishes I feel a little unfulfilled, but I think it's still a keeper. |
