Question on viewing threads: post order backwards?
Before I registered on these forums, when I would read threads, then it would show posts chronologically from top to bottom, and from the first page to the last. Ever since I registered, it's been reversed, and now the earliest post is at the bottom of the last page, with the latest post being at the top of the first page.
Is there any way to change it back to the way it was before? Like, an option I'm overlooking? I prefer it the old way.

start off by going to your user cp, on the left click 'edit options' and scroll down to 'Thread Display Options' then select the Thread Display Mode you want.

Post Order Backwards?
I apologize if this is a repost or in the wrong section or anything. I did a search, but couldn't find anything about it.
The post order in threads seems to be backwards for me when compared to a typical forum. When I click on a thread title, instead of getting the original post on page 1, I get most recent post on page 1, and it forces me to read the thread from the bottom up. Is there an option somewhere I can change to put the posts in the proper order? I looked around, but maybe I overlooked it..? Thanks for reading. |

It should be easy to edit in your profile.
Profile > User CP > Settings & Options (under "Edit Options"). Scroll way down, and under "Thread Display mode," choose "Linear (Oldest First)" |

It's always been like that for me as well, but I never cared enough to change it and now I like it that way.
Just wondering, is it the default view or did aphetica and I accidentally change it somehow?

it's the default view for this forum (and I suspect all boards that use vbulletin as well) and personally seems to me ass-backwards, much like the default setting of 10 posts per page.

So how come when you're logged out the view reverts to regular forum view?

That's certainly strange. I'm pretty sure it's the default, but I could be wrong. But I think the linear layout is the standard for vBulletin, this place is the only forum on which I've seen it any different.

Sometimes the simple things get lost in a sea of options. Perhaps I can finally get some use out of this place. |

Posts appear backwards
Hi all. Whenever I'm logged in the posts appear backwards when I'm viewing a thread, so last post is first and first post is at bottom of page. But if I log out everything returns to normal. Can someone help me fix this?
Edit: nvm just found another post with this problem and fixed it. Last edited by Never rest; 01-23-2012 at 01:31 PM. |
