This article's purpose is to maintain the latest version of the email sent to submitters whose pieces are evaluated and rejected by the judges panel.

While your submission is appreciated, the judges panel (https://ocremix.org/info/Judges_Panel) has evaluated it and decided not to approve it in its current form. You can read the final votes of the judges involved in this decision at the Judges Decisions forum (https://ocremix.org/community/forum/11/).
These votes will clarify what you potentially can do to improve your submission and bring it up to (and beyond) our Submission Standards (https://ocremix.org/info/Submission_Standards_and_Instructions). Unless there are particularly glaring or isolated issues with a track, the judges primarily offer discretionary critiques and suggestions. If you'd like to revise and resubmit your arrangement, you’re encouraged to only make revisions you agree with that don't compromise your artistic vision.

Tracks that are meaningfully revised after a rejection and resubmitted are expedited back to the judges panel for a new evaluation. Please resubmit the updated arrangement by sending a new email to submissions@ocremix.org; follow the same Submissions Instructions and note the RESUBMISSION in the subject line or message. Linking the previous judges decision will also speed up the process.
