It's a good week for Street Fighter II fans (rejoice, ma bruthas!) as McVaffe returns from peaceful slumber with an R&B vengeance. This track debuted on Super Radio X, a college radio station that is now sadly in 'hibernation' but contributed a lot to the game remix scene with interviews (including moi) and of course by PLAYING some of the tracks from our site. For whatever reason, it didn't handle the 24Kbps degradation too well, so I imagine most that heard it there have been waiting for the high quality version - here you go chaps and chapettes. McVaffe has taken the spanish theme from Vega's stage and turned into a very slick R&B track that TLC would be proud of, with some masterfully played piano interludes. One can just envision Vega maccin' it old school in those tight purple threads of his and hittin' on Cammy and Chun to McV's phat beatz. Wow. I said 'phat beatz'. Kill me. Seems to repeat a bit, but who cares - golden stuff, grab it.

Think you can top this? Just get in the ring.
Hit you so hard you be seeing double;
Got the bass kick, turn your foundation to rubble.
Snare drum poppin', going right for your throat;
synths and strings up top, where they gracefully float.
With a flow so chill and a beat so hot;
It's both hell and high water taking over the block.
Guitar lines are swayin', you know what i'm sayin';
When it comes to McVaffe, it's respect you be payin'.
With a massive technique to silence the crowd;
Listen the right way; crank this up loud.
I'm out, Peace.
Coolest rap ever!!!:razz:

I was watching Judge Mathis this morning and the credits theme has the exact same style of guitar and whistle...does McVaffe watch Judge Mathis? :D

The plucked intro's grace yields to a nice kick/snare combo with a bit of an overly loud high-hat in the left ear.
Ahh...but enter the sinth pads countering the main melody being sung by a multiple violin set. The strings have been set in the back far enough to carry without being overly sappy. The high-hat is still tinging away though....
It all comes together with a piano interperatation of the Vega "End Theme" as the guitar contiues to pluck away. Synth pads meander in the back, behind the piano, providing interesting harmonizations.
Quality stuff....but that high-hat nags me throughout the entire work.
9.5/10

I love the parts where the piano comes in at 1:38 and 3:30 but it dies away after about 5 seconds. Those parts needed to be longer.
I just think McVaffe should have chosen better drum samples than this song would awesome!
