This is just what I needed. Techno ReMixes are fun, Rock and Jazz ReMixes jam, and hip-hop ReMixes groove, but sometimes sugar-coated Nintendo platformer goodness in the form of a nice instrumental is just what the doctor ordered. Mazedude submits our first Kirby's DreamLand ReMix, and it's true to the name of the game in its very dreamlike floating between slower, minimalist reprises of the main melody on mallet / musicbox type tones and larger, more soaring arrangements with tuba-like bass, brass, oboe, steel drum, a flute section, fantastic bubbly effects, and very subtle percussive sleighbells. Yeah - it's jam-packed with flavor. Equally appropriate for putting the kids to sleep . . . uhhh . . . if you HAVE kids, or for dreaming the impossible dream, or trippin late at night. Or just for achieving a zen-like sense of oneness with the little pink thing that is . . . Kirby :) Memorable, fanciful, and entertaining stuff from Mazedude.

The bubble effects are perfect. Great addition.

It doesn't get more calm and bright than this, Mazedude always taking on a new style and always comes out succesful
The part where it slows down is one of my favourites

I like the choice of instruments...they work well in keeping with the upbeat theme without making you fall asleep. Like the usage of steel drums and so on instead of something synthier.
That said, the middle bit on the music box makes me drowsy...but thats a good thing and keeps in touch with the feel of the rest of the remix instead of, say, breaking out in a rock guitar riff (dont laugh it could happen) Though I must say that when it DID come to the music box I wondered where my tune had gone...its a little too quiet and could do with being louder...though that actually goes away when it gets loud again.
Good ending, too, I was expecting a fadeout, but the grid-down and halt worked just as well.

Wee! I love this. Wee! This is great. Can you guess what my favourite game for Gameboy is? Huh? Can ya? I think I’ve already given you the broadest hint possible. I’m not going to lie to you here, this mix could have probably totally sucked ass and I would have liked it just because I’ve waited a long time for this. I was even contemplating doing a Kirby’s Dreamland mix myself, for a while there. And believe me when I say that you would not have wanted to hear that.
Trying really hard not to be biased now, I have to say I think this one needed a higher bit rate. Some of the cymbals sounded a little off which seems to me that this is usually because of the bit rate being lower then it should be. Besides that I honestly can’t find anything to complain about. Thank you for this excellent piece of work Mazedude, you just made my day.
