Our first featured ReMix of quirky cephalopod paint shooter Splatoon comes from OceansAndrew in the form of a high-energy EDM instrumental w/ chip flavors & surplus catchiness:
"The super peppy theme from the multiplayer segment of Splatoon, I slowed it up a bit and gave it a lot of Synth flourishes, added a few original melodies, and some other fun stuff too."
The Inkling squelch/vocals do make a minor cameo, but gone are the source's sing-song bits, replaced with hefty lead synths that dominate the soundscape. Some judges noticed some minor balance issues in this regard, but I think DragonAvenger sums it up nicely:
"Man, I still love the 1:01 section, it really tires everything together so well. Similarly I'd like to note that I never noticed the squish noises before and it was a nice touch. I can hear the issue with the saw bass and I think while it wouldn't hurt to bring it down a touch I didn't find it to be a deal breaker. The other parts are still clear and the energy is high.

This mix really shines when the synths dot outside the lines & do some nice grace notes and side-riffs. A nice jolt of positive vibes & fun, toe-tapping jams, capturing the offbeat/upbeat pop enthusiasm of the source & dialing up the oscillators a few notches. Enjoy!

I have had downloaded since it came out, but today it was stuck in my head, so I pumped it up and let my house hear it. Love this song.

Pretty fun and entertaining piece 
Absolutely love to jam to this one from time to
time. Can't help but mention how awesome the part at 1:02
is! And the following bit of quirky chippy solo is no
less nice. The Squid vocals sounded a bit wierd to me at
first, but I gotta admit I got used to them, and now I can't even
imagine this ReMix without them, haha. Super good!
