  2. Chippty goodness aplenty! I enjoyed this remix, it had the retro feel mixed with a fresh reimagining. It is also a nice way to expand upon the original stage select theme which is no easy feat! Great job on this!
  3. I really enjoyed the vibe of this remix. The vox sfx were extremely well placed and the transitions were incredibly smooth. Excellent remix here!
  4. Most of the time I found myself listening to the percussion, a lot of energy going on there! This remix was definitely a trip, I never quite could predict where it was going to go. Great job on this!
  5. What a fun ride. I know that anytime I hear the retro whistle sound, I'm in for a romp! This remix exudes a naturally fun energy and I can dig it. Excellent job on this!
  6. While screamo metal may not be my cup of tea, I wanted to remark on the creativity and style that this remix exudes. Reading the lyrics alongside the listening helped to drive home the feeling of this remix. The tonality was perfect for the title of the remix, and the vibe was pulled off excellently!
  7. The part/interlude around 2:53 was so lovely and easily my favorite part of the remix. There is something about the mellow nature of this remix that puts you into a calmer state of mind. The instrumentation was well done and you managed to flesh out the runtime very well. Excellent remix!
  8. I ended up listening to this 3 times before reviewing, I'll take that as a sign that it's very good! THis remix is pleasant, light and airy, and makes for great background music for a quiet moment or for a small moment of triumph! Great job on this!
  9. I've got RYM2612 by Inphonik and SuperPSG by AlyJamesLab (both paid VST). I like your idea about automating parameters for realistic sound. I like to use the velocity sensitivity in RYM2612 and just alter note velocities for change in sound via the individual FM operators. A lot easier than automation, but that's with RYM2612. I'm not sure what Genny has, I've never used it.
  10. The last minute of this remix was definitely my favorite part. This was an enjoyable and smooth remix and I was boppin my head along most of the way. Great job on this!
  11. I'll admit, I kind of zoned out for the first couple of minutes, but things really kicked up a notch starting with that warbling and creepy lead, and then things just started sound cooler and cooler. Once this remix kicked off, it definitely felt like an awesome Metroid remix. This remix was appropriately creepy and dark in some parts and intense in others. Excellent job!
  12. This was quite creative and held a very interesting soundscape! I enjoyed the instrument selection and the varied way in which the remix goes about. Great job on this, bravo!
  13. This was quite lovely and surprisingly good for how simple and straightforward of a remix this is. I am actually debating on whether or not this is better than the original, that's how good it is!
  14. What a romp! I really enjoyed the percussion and bass in this remix. This remix was a lot of fun! Kudos!
  15. Nice and mellow and very space-like. This was a good jam and I enjoyed listening to it. Excellent job!
  16. This was a great rendition of the classic boss music with some JENOVA splashed in. The musicality and timing is exquisite in this one, those solos were splendid. Great job!
  17. Today
  18. In my opinion, this remix shined the most during the slow sections. Those moody strings, the reverberant keys and those smooth pads. Fantastic remix!
  19. The part that beings around 1:58 is my favorite part of the remix, the sort of mournful and dramatic keys mixed with those cool drums made for an excellent combo, and then the electric guitar comes in and seals the deal! This was great and well done!
  20. what are you using? i wanna do Blackened now :) i have GennyFL, still pretty lazy with it. eventually i would like to learn how to do a solid hard rock sound like Comix Zone, but automate the parameters in a way that makes it sound like real guitar intonation. that would be like holy grail. you know, like wails, feedback, string muting, pinch harmonics etcetc....i reckon really advanced stuff is possible with loads of effort.
  21. First time putting a solo in a piece of music. Total work time about 12 hours. Also, in case anyone is wondering, visuals done in Blender with waveforms generated in After Effects.
  22. hey, virt must know; on the other hand: if you played a lot of one man game projects released on e.g. iOS, i'm sure you've heard the odd free tune appearing in games over and over. a lot of them are....pretty iffy :P honestly, i'd get a kick out of hearing some tunes of mine in different amateur-ish games, and seeing how they're being used. it's kind of remix culture in its own way. and one could easily make something catchy, or with a bit more personality than a lot of these creative commons oldies, or whatever license they use. like, making something kinda generic, but with some twists and a certain trademark sound. in all likeliness your stuff won't be used for ages, and then at age 50 you suddenly find a little amateur game using a 15 year old tune of yours. it's just a cool idea.
  23. very good. i haven't kept track with how advanced the publically available music a.i. stuff is compared to the text and visual stuff...and i really don't wanna. getting back into music making is freaking hard enough as it is :D i wanna take my stand against a.i. in my own little way...i have to believe that the value of making music lies in the process, not the results. the personal relationship you form with the notes and sounds while making music. got a lot to learn until i can completely embody that stance; honestly a large part of me has always been very results oriented, kinda greedy that way. we artists have to prepare for 'spiritual war' in that sense; like, fuck it, we're doing it live. but nothing against folks who wanna use a.i. in a creative fashion. not for me. idk, i might cave in for deep fake vocals at some point...as long as i write the notes and lyrics myself. basically, as long as i feel like i am doing the damn thing, more than the machine. like, give me a vocal model of freddy mercury or rob halford or celine dion, and give me all the fine grained controls to make em totally glitch out when i want to.
  24. Thanks for your comments. Maybe I have made some mistake, all the tracks I make are musical arrangements and not remixes. It means that I listen to the music that I like and make it into music, arrange it with the instruments and the style that I like at that moment. Thank you all for your comments and your advice is welcome.
  25. Yesterday
  26. This is easily one of my favorite songs to just put on a chill to for a couple replays. It's got something new going on constantly, is a great length, and is just SO GOOD to listen to. I really love this mix.
  27. For tentative interest I'd like to be put down for "As Before, We Are" from Horizon Forbidden West.
  28. What did you think? Post your opinion of this ReMix.
