  1. You could bring a digital camera and record yourself DJing for our pleasure.
  2. I don't know if Brad is an EXPERT, but he's generally pretty good at a lot of things - thats why it might be hard to tap him. He's usually busy with a lot of things around here.
  3. Just make sure you aren't encroaching on us, Prophet. Some of us need the work to build our resumes.
  4. That's the whole point - mess around with it and see what it does. Online forum help only goes so far because words and terms are vague at best. There's only so much we can do without being in your room, on your computer, to look at what you're doing. In this case, its the SNAP that the snare makes. Seperate your snare, give it its own channel and its own instrument, put a Parametric EQ on it and start a little cascade from the lowest end of the EQ to the highest (in this case, a diagonal line going down from left to right) and see if that fixes it. Also consider the use of a small tambourine instead of a snare. It could work. Just messing around with it is one of the best ways you're going to learn so long as you write down and remember what you're doing.
  5. That's what I used to say. I can't EQ either, doesn't stop me from doing it to fix my tracks. It benefits to have that mindset - just be sure to save different versions so you have something to go back too.
  6. Yeah, that sounds about right. I just wish I could get some real and real good instruction without all the technobabble bullshit and learn the markers that make a good song and mix. There's gotta be something like that that produces even the shittiest song to sound professional.
  7. You burned through a lot of TVs, didn't you?
  8. I broke my good KOSS headphones and because they don't know how to label their headphones, I can't get a replacement. I'm wondering if anyone has tried these: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-SHS5200-Reflective-Neckband-Headphones/dp/B000QS2XS8/ref=pd_sim_e_4 I really wasn't looking for like a super $70 set of headphones, just something I could hear close to my ears that gives me an accurate sense of balance. If not, can you recommend me some that you use?
  9. I want to help, but I need some sort of schedule idea. Time is an issue with me. My sights right now are on the Frigate piano song from Metroid Prime. I want that one if I can pull it off.
  10. Yeah man, good lord, $100 is pretty fucking hardcore. <
  11. The NES game came out BEFORE the arcade, goober.
  12. Whens the due date on all that and do you happen to master all these tracks too so they all sound about right against each other?
  13. Hell yeah Malaki. Its mainly because those games were different in a different time period. Games weren't as long and kids didn't have as much shit to do or availability, so we had more opportunities to play those Battletoads levels over and over again and get really good at them. With different methods of gameplay came different expectations. The difficulty has switched for me, personally. Its harder for me to play through a moderate level 40-50 hour RPG than it is to play a challenging 2-3 hour game.
  14. Well clearly I'd have to add some new stuff, I'm just asking if its supposed to be like a VALSE AERIS for each track or if we can follow the song structures of the original. I don't care to add more horns, harps, string bits and other backing, but I'm way too exhausted with music to do a whole big remix. Plus I fucking broke the headphones that virtually saved my music career and because KOSS doesn't know how to label their shit, I can't get a replacement.
  15. Where's the fetus going to gestate, you gonna keep it in the box? Happy Birthday, geometric enigmally titled man. You're only 28? I thought you had to be like 33 or something.
  16. This is all news to me. What kind of services do you offer clients?
  17. Does it have to be a whole big re-arrangement, full symphony orchestra type thing like we do here, or are the songs just covers? I can't listen to the songs right now at work, but if they're just covers, I could probably have enough time to work something.
  18. Digicube sells the legit I think. But you're fighting an uphill battle with hot dog underwear or something, as all music coming from Japan is expensive legitmately.
  19. Does it have to be one person? I have some already made stuff that might be useful.
