  1. I haven't been working on it because I never heard back.
  2. Ok, so I know that people can sue for big money if they don't like the way they're portrayed in print in the news, but what about fictional works like a character in a book named after them? Not much more positively identifying than that, but how does that work?
  3. I've been half-tempted to make a "Happy Birthday, Meteo Xavier!" topic, then when people who click onto it from the index page find out it was AUTHORED by Meteo Xavier and laugh at the comedic effect, I tell people, "Thats right, this has gotten so out of hand, people are doing this first-person now. Lets stop, K?" And thats the end of the topic.
  4. 10 years is not a slump, its a tradition. how I will segue my comment that this would've been great... back in 1998, will be challenging, but I'll find a way. I didn't know people still listen to music like this. Frankly, the only person who should be making music like this is Zircon.
  5. Gkworld has a bunch of stuff. For game posters, I've gotten mine out of Strategy guides, Game magazines, OSTs. You can get a Chrono Trigger poster out of first edition copies of Chrono Trigger DS.
  6. My thoughts exactly. Do we all get community birthday wishes from Bleck or how does this work?
  7. As a homosexual man, I can solicit and sexually harass any adult female I want and get away with it. Now if it were Wolf Blitzer and HIS boyfriend were a judge on the board, then maybe I'd be in the wrong, thats just how it works. Otherwise, tough titties. Further more, when are we going to get Ocremix underwear and bandanas?
  8. The shovel swings both ways, my little droogie. Since the "spaghetti incident" last year, I've taken steps to learn all about boyfriend self-defense, whether its a douchebag thinking I'm getting friendly with his bitch, or its a woman covered in spaghetti, getting it on my carpet, trying to escape a 300 lb fucknut who microwaved the damn cat.
  9. That's it, I'm proposing. Gimme a minute and let me get the ring. Where's my shovel?
  10. I want to post something, but I think I'll run like hell instead.
  11. Yeah, but how did you get the gig with the other place?
  12. How did you get game music work? I'm doing some tracks for Novo Interactive, but I'd like to do more.
  13. Can you be more specific? I hear the mechanization and stiffness in this track and much of my other songs too, and I'd love to figure out once and for all what it is I'm not doing right. And I did use the velocities, I must've spent like 10 hours on that alone, but it still comes off MIDI and mechanical.
  14. K, so what do we do from there, how does this work exactly?
  15. If print is dead, why are we still talking about magazines? /curious
  16. Well here is what I've started on, http://www.zshare.net/audio/53804178c80f813c/ The Rhodes is a loop and I don't know what notes its playing. The beat is all me.
  17. I never had a problem with GamePro, that was the first magazine I ever thoroughly enjoyed. Maybe I'll look back into that.
  18. We're not actually disagreeing, I'm just saying this was going to happen sooner or later. Frankly, I'm surprised the Mario games have lasted as long as they have, but even Mario isn't immune from this eventuality. I started noticing hints of it back in Super Paper Mario and Super Mario Galaxy.
  19. Holy fucking shit. I JUST payed for a new subscription too, AFTER I bought one from RLN Inc. Shit. Well at least now I won't have any more OCD problems with my EGM collection (which is now roughly 140 lbs of print) Edit: Shit, they owe me a game too. I was letter of the month in October 2008. Shit!
  20. Now now, wait a minute, I said I'd be willing to contribute something/anything. I've never done hip-hop before and I'm not greatly familiar with what you're trying to do. I'll work on it as far as I can, but I'm not sure I can be counted on a project just yet.
  21. I'm going to use the same argument I used to defend Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - if you wanted to see Raiders of the Lost Ark, why didn't you just watch Raiders of the Lost Ark? Same basic principle applies here. Even if Sega didn't push and punish their employees, the games would still likely not be of the classic quality we want them to have. If you want the gaming quality and experience and overall greatness of Sonic 1 or 2 or 3, you're better off just playing 1, 2, or 3. Saves you time and money in the long run. I'm not saying the Sonic of today are any good, I haven't played a Sonic game in years, I'm just saying this would've happened naturally sooner or later anyway.
  22. I feel like plugging the internet marketing group I work for, as we're very personal, within that budget and client-friendly, but we're still experimenting with blogs ourselves and it would probably just be a waste of money with all things considered.
  23. I wouldn't mind contributing something/anything to whatever this project is.
  24. I second the deadline options with the addendum that you make them realistic. I'm a poster boy for what can happen if you don't make realistic deadlines for your first projects. Dannthr knows exactly what I'm talking about. Start small and easy and work your way up.
