  1. Hiya! It's been a while since I last time did something with remixing, so... I was trying the new Monkey Island Special Edition, and remembered how cool the music is in that game. Just about the same moment i noticed the rhythm similarity in the MI theme and Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal". Are ya following me? So, basically here's the intro of Smooth Criminal remixed with MI theme, and then it changes to LeChuck's theme. At first I was going to make a complete "write-over" of Smooth Criminal, but it would've turned out rather boring. Instead, I used it only in the intro, and then changed to polka-ish proge-metal kind of thing, which changes to quite burdened thrash riff. It's still a work-in-progress. It's only a bit over one minute of length, drums are just "put out there" and the guitar parts are recorded on the first try. Well, I guess that's just about all I can say for now, please, criticize it. http://www.savefile.com/files/2156681 (Sorry for the host service, but I don't have any "better" place to upload, so... Just bear with it. )
  2. I've been thinking of this for a long time. I love this song too, and I have a rough idea of metal version of it. Hopefully I get it done someday...
  3. I play guitar. Mainly I do metal, but (hopefully) can do other styles as well. I've played guitar for almost a year now, and can do sweeps, mid-fast melodies, back guitars etc. My guitar is ESP KH-202 and for sounds, I use Guitar Rig. My stuff for recording isn't the best, but I can get a reasonable quality out. Clean, non-distorted sounds are pretty hard to make, but I can try those too. Just PM me and we'll discuss about it
  4. Hiya. I'm in need of good rock/funkmetal singer. You know Rage Against the Machine? Good. There's my goal I'm making this Tekken 3 remix of Jin Kazama's theme, and I think it would sound great with vocals. http://www.ocremix.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=53136 I have this kind of idea: at 0:15, when the drums kick in, there could be some kind of "yee-OH!" kind of scream, "Heey!" scream at 0:24 when the bass kicks in, some whispering thingies in the quiet part at 0:32 and finally, the first verse at 0:40. Then, after it, the main riff repeats at 0:57, and there would be some "hell yeah!" "yeaaaah!" kind of screams. Think you can handle it? Then you're my man
  5. Hmmmm... I've been here for half year or so but this was THE FIRST TIME I noticed this thread! Well, never too late Hi, I'm HartZa, finnish guy who plays guitar (not very well, but still!), and I'm interested in VGM, music as a whole thing and after all, extreme sports. Which mainly are motocross and snowmobiling. Actually, I'm competing in snowmobile races... Mostly I'm into the Megaman games, and the musics, of course. Almost 99% of my remixes (or tries of remixes..?) are MM songs, so just bear with me! ...Hopefully I'm accepted in this community
  6. Hmmm... If there's no any way to get a pic of that "martian" environment, I suppose it can be done virtually. I can do CG, in fact I think I'm pretty good as a self-learner. If there's no other way to get that scenery, I think I can do it, but then again, I'm not sure if I'm free, lots of work... But, Myth, tell me your opinions.
  7. Looks like this project is going to be GOOD. Most of the WIPs sound great. EvilHorde: One idea for the name: Hangar of Perkele
  8. Why don't ya name it Perkele? No, seriously, I like the last one. It's hell-y enough, fits with your remix. And, maybe a little off-topic, but did you play the quick soloes in the real tempo, or did you record it first slowly, then raise the tempo? 'Cause I've ever couldn't play it that fast. ALMOST that fast, but not yet...
  9. Can anyone here submit to this? 'Cause I love the Doom musics, so I could do a remix for it (have composed some own metal-versions already). Reply here or PM me the answer plz. Is there also some kind of specific genre here, or just different genres..? Thx for advance.
