  1. I felt the sleigh bells stayed for too long. That and they were slightly piercing to me. Last note at 1:15 could have stayed a little longer to build a more fluid transition with the accordion. This is indeed too close to the original, so the sax solo at 1:26 was a welcome addition, (though it had some reverb while the other saxes didn't, which makes it inconsistent on the production side). Also, I think the outro lasted for too long, repeating the same portion over and over with very little variation (the cymbals at 2:17 were a bit loud too).

Anyhow, I enjoyed when the saxes went wild and the outro with the guitar stab. Looking forward to future tracks from you guys.

  2. 1: Why, if applicable, don't you comment on new mixposts on OCR?

2: How do you suggest the number of reviews is brought back up again?

1: When I joined the forums, I would comment on mixes from any game/ReMixer. But now I only talk about music from games and artists I am familiar with. I know this sounds unfair and close-minded. But that is how I am rolling for now.

2: I think the basic core of solving this is lifting listeners' tastes and opinions. Ergo, I endorse DJP ideas and echo what Skrypnyk said about the VGMix RPG-esque system. Also, I wonder if every poster could include their top 10 favourite ReMixes in their profile page. This was a feature in VGMix and OLR, too. And OLR turned into a barren ghost town after many user listening features were gone.

  3. The glitch sounds with the jazz really make this remix unpredictable.

Glitchy electronica that screams robotica with some of Morse's classic style is an awesome match.

Agreed. This reminds me of virt's/Jake Kaufman's Mighty Switch Force OST. Yet this also has that house flavour JM is known for (like the rhythm piano at 1:21 and the deep pads around 2:45). A very cleverly written remix that should not be missed.

  4. As a lot of you know I'm a big fan of tokusatsu shows like Kamen Rider and Super Sentai. One of the things I really love about these shows is the music. I'm gonna be posting a track from a toku show every couple of days that I really like so you guys can enjoy too.

FIRST UP is the theme song from the currently running Kamen Rider show, Kamen Rider Drive

This is SURPRISE-DRIVE by Mitsuru Matsuoka! It's a really awesome, uplifting song with some awesome guitar stuff going on. Lots of energy, great melody, just all around fantastic.

    This is really good.

  5. Miles Edgeworth is awesome, but my experience with him during Investigations makes it seem that he's a better written character that bounces off others when he is not the protagonist in his own game.

To be honest it has more to do with the fact that Shu Takumi wasn't involved in the Investigation series.

Can't pick a favorite. What I like about playing as an attorney is their sarcastic side that they keep for themselves. This happens with Phoenix, Miles, Mia and Apollo, too.

Athena looks like a Vocaloid character.

  6. Nice episode with Gimmick's composer. But yeah, it could have more varied info given its length.

Konami certainly had many NES games with good music on them. But this also holds true to arcades from the 80's and 90's. I did some VGM hunt a while ago. Not trying to endorse a company, but my conclusion was that they had more games with good music on arcade systems than any other company during that era, in my humble opinion (though there are still plenty of worthy tracks from Sega and Capcom with their CPS2). Some of their 80's stuff was pretty sophisticated for its time, too.
