  1. Is there ANY way to turn this around? Blarg.

One way I could think of is to convert and re-work the project into a proper console title rather than a handheld. Wishful thinking but it beats just scraping everything. Maybe even redo the original games along side it as a bonus or something.

    But yes, capcom are idiots

  2. Anyone watched this movie?

cuz now that Im thinking about it, its almost like Alice madness returns the movie, lol!

    watch the trailer:

    :o

It's not at all like that; similar premise at the start but soon as it gets into the meat of it all, it's nothing at all like Alice: Madness Returns.

Key difference is Alice:MR is actually appealing and engrossing; not something I would have imagined in the 3rd or 4th grade if I was daydreaming thinking of plowing the hot teacher and crazy shit happens in that day dream.

The worst part about that terrible comparison to Sucker Punch to Alice MR is that at least of the two; and I'll white out the last comment for the sake of not spoiling it for anyone or at least those that will have it whited out below the next image...

At least one of the two will find her happiness while the other becomes nothing more that dog food. Take a guess.

  3. i've heard both good and bad things about the actual platforming, though...

Let me put it this way, if you can't think then yes the platforming will be nightmarish a little before the middle part up to the end. Not to say it's impossible as that's not the case, but I had fun figuring it out along side finding as many secrets along the way as well.

  4. There's nothing I could say that could fully express how it simply became one of my favorite games of 2011. Everything felt "perfect" in its own weird way. It's deliciously dark and grim without being trite or obnoxious

It's a feast for the eyes while the gaming play, especially "Alice" herself, feels perfect. Alice gave me the same feeling I felt whenever I controlled Simon Belmont in SCIV; any mistakes or deaths that occur it would fall upon me rather than any possibility of shit controls or poor mechanics. No Alice felt refreshing to me as Bayonetta did; improved controls over their predecessors and more.

The story itself gives a greater insight upon American's interpretation of "Alice" previous actions before the first game and during the sequel. In my opinion, it was worth the $60-$50 ($45 for me because of a special deal from Amazon that included the original Alice game on preorder) and the extra $2 for the DLC.

The DLC properly feels like DLC that affects the game; making it either much easier or seemingly impossibly difficult with aesthetics being a wonderful bonus.

I can see myself savoring the game for a very long time and see replays much like the first Alice game has seen. Oh and the art book only extends as well as add another layer of pleasure I got from the game.

  5. Okay I just had a run in with the guys that use fire and flame throwers. It's not nearly as bad, just that guys with guns can't do shit but those that melee will make them easy pickings...

The flames make it look worse than it really is.

Now those that shoot ice beams that can freeze you on the spot, THOSE you have to watch out for as you're screwed if you're surrounded and can't move or fight back fast enough.

  6. nah dood, muramasa is already that

(also I'm a sucker for elf)

also also I thought it was PS3 :???:

Nope, as far as I've seen it's solely for the PSVita; unless it can be played on both but primarily on the PSV I'm not sure.

  7. They got sold to Micrsoft when all the good people in it left to form their own companies, and Rare hasn't made a good game since.

So why the fuck would they be saving Nintendo, and what exactly would they be saving them from?

From getting too much money and suddenly going ape-shit stupid with said flush of cash by not catering the "GOOD/AWESOME" 3rd parties.

  8. the point is:

when this thing comes out I am going to look like a rich person to a lot of people

So basically like any one who have bought it, the PS3 with its PSN Cards, or XBox 360 with a bunch of gold card/MS points?

Regardless of what system you buy you'd have to be pretty privileged these days willing to buy a new system and support it with $40-$60 per game you're willing to pay for.

So in a sense, we're all rich.

Edit: Nice to see they're doing something right by getting rid of friend codes.

  9. Guys guys I saw Nintendo's new console and I dunno I have my doubts man I mean I'm just not feelin' it for some reason I dunno maybe it's because I feel like Nintendo has sold out or maybe I just don't like the idea of the controller or perhaps most of all it's because IT WAS ANNOUNCED TWO DAYS AGO AND I FEEL NO EXCITEMENT FOR A PIECE OF HARDWARE THAT'LL BE RELEASED IN A YEAR'S TIME.

    Jesus, people.

Funny thing is even when new software comes out, I'd still feel as if the Wii-U is rather unnecessary, much like how the Kinect and even the PS Move feel unnecessary to me. I don't hate it or think Nintendo sold out/became soulless ect ect.

It just doesn't hold my interest, much like how the 3DS seem to be suffering that though to a lesser degree.

If it sells millions, then good, if it becomes the next "Virtual Boy" well...

They should try again or focus elsewhere.

All I'd really want are enjoyable games by the end of the day though.

I'm kind of surprised to read that people find this new system MORE of a "gaming culture shock" than the Wii. If anything, I would've figured that the name and controller (since it's basically a VERY traditional controller with a screen on it) wouldn't be so shocking or unwelcomed after the radical departure that the Wii has been.

Note that I realize you personally may not be turned off by the controller concept, Schwartzvald, I'm speaking generally.

I'd think it has to do with how much interaction is needed. Using the Wii motes was certainly different compared to the traditional controllers/console packaged with a AAA title. But I had a hard time to wrap my head around using the new controller more so than I had with the Wii Mote. the wiimote was simple with the added gestures/waggling. With the tablet controller it may just be TOO MUCH of a good thing going for it.

Still giving it a few months may assuage away the shock; especially with new games using it to the best of its' capability. If that doesn't happen then it would just be like the Mario Kart Wii Wheel I still see being sold in walmart and bestbuy. A piece of plastic with no real necessity to exist.

  10. Sticking Ultra on the end of a combo that's already 10+ hits or greater is a waste of meter imo. Save it for a simple hit confirm and do 400 damage instead of 100 (or just 50 after 40 hits).

Otherwise, lots of impressive stuff there.

I'd like to think there's a psychological aspect behind the unnecessary combos after said 10+ hits. It's a waste yes but if you can shatter your opponent's confidence it may be worthwhile; especially if you can keep the chances of some incredible comeback from happening against you. Then again I don't play professionally so don't mind me. :<

  11. well that'll be unfortunate when they stop making games for the wii oh i don't know last year sometime

    It'll be okay.

It's just that for me, it's the realization that, while I'll always have fond memories of the classics as well as some of the new/current games on the Wii. Nintendo just doesn't hold my interest as it has at one point for now.

I'll still be following news of their fun games with Mario, Link, Samus, DK and so on. I'll be following them and most likely will even follow new stuff that appear that peak my interest.

Currently now with the "Wii-U" I just feel no connection to it like I did with the Wii and past systems.

I'll still be playing games as always, just not with Nintendo's new systems for a while with the exception of the DS Lite/3DS(maybe).

  12. I mention it twice and PriZm is the lifesaver. |: <

Initial rage tends to blind many from easy answers at first.

I know it surprised me when I tried to get my free games it initially asked me for payment before I realized their "tickets" to be first activated THEN download the games.

Still though other then that I don't think I've ever had problems with the PSN UI except when my internet goes to shit and I see constant connection errors.

On another note regarding the PSN store, I'm looking forward to C:LoS - Resurrection content that has already come out on the 360; which was pushed back on the PSN for June 14th.
