  1. I've been playing the game for hours today. I love pretty much everything except one thing: the stages. Must almost ever stage be shape shifting?! I find myself playing the melee stages more instead of the new ones. Other than that I like the game even though I find the AI (normal) a lot more challenging than the one in melee.

  2. I've been playing for a while now. The game is pretty good but it's not really that different to me though. It just feels like the same game (somewhat) except with more things. It still feels a bit weird to me. Perhaps it is the slower speed that I'm not yet used to but I'm sure with more time with the game that'll change. Anybody want to play online some time just add me and send me a message with your number so I can add you as well.

  3. The black is just so you can see the rounded edges. I decided to go with the black scan line like credit cards have but I could change it around to have a barcode instead. I personally like it with the black scan line. I also made two different front faces for the card. Couldn't decide which I like better.

  4. I actually asked about this over on Remod, Demitri works at GameStop and had this response.

Well that's good to know. I guess I'll go right when the store opens though since I've been waiting forever to play it but I'm glad I don't have to get in a line real early to do so.

  5. How sure is it that you will receive a copy of the game the day it launches if you pre-ordered it GameStop? I sure as hell am not going at midnight so I'm wondering if I should show up Sunday morning early before the store opens or do I not have to worry about it because I should 100&% get it since I reserved it?

  6. Haha I love the guys sitting on the airplane wings shooting and the ones with the same skill level just ducking and shooting over a wall. It looks like it'll be interesting though the whole free aspect of it sort of makes me think the people playing it will be a bunch of idiotic little kids like the ones mentioned in the trailer. :P Anyway the game looks like it'll be fun and it'll have those mini transactions to buy different gear but supposedly that won't exactly make you a better player than others with the default stuff. I look forward to trying it out. Hopefully it'll allow a ton of people in a server. Great presentation on this trailer.

  7. I still don't like the idea of using motorcycles in the game. It's called Mario Kart. Hell I could hardly accept the mini car looking karts in Double Dash. I wish it would just be karts, normal and simple but anyway I suppose if done right it won't be so bad. 8 player battle mode sounds awesome as well as 12 player online racing. Here's hoping the game is nothing like Double Dash especially with the ridiculous AI.

  8. Animal Crossing

Bought it used at Blockbuster, went home, played it for 2 hours, went back and returned it. The guy gave me a full refund and was like "I knew you'd be back with it".

    Mario Kart - Double Dash

Played it, beat it, hated the AI, multiplayer sucked, got bored with it in two weeks and traded it at GameStop. The guy there said a lot of people had come to trade it.

That's about the only two purchases I ever regretted. I recently bought Endless Ocean for the Wii and thought I'd regret it but fortunately after playing it for a good while I got really into it.

  9. Take-Two already said no.

They pretty much said no for now, but still plan to make discussions with EA later on.

While the Board believes that entering into discussions with EA at this time is not in the best interests of shareholders, we had offered to enter into a good-faith dialogue with EA to determine if our companies can reach common ground on the appropriate value of Take-Two as a first step to realizing a mutually beneficially transaction. However, given the great importance of the Grand Theft Auto IV launch to the value of Take-Two, the Board has determined that the only prudent and responsible course for our Company and its stockholders is to defer these discussions until immediately after Grand Theft Auto IV is released. Therefore, we offered to initiate discussions with EA on April 30th, 2008 (the day after Grand Theft Auto IV is scheduled to release).

  10. Have any of you read the most recent Mario Kart info?

First of all, Mario Kart Wii will be 12 player compatible over the internet. Additionally, the game will allow either one or two players per system, so when you jump online, you can play split-screen with a friend and compete.

Grand Prix mode still features the same three different classes of difficulty: 50CC, 100CC, and 150CC, but now there are 11 other racers on the track instead of seven. That's right, it's now a 12-kart competition. Additionally, the game adds a new class of vehicles: motorcycles. Each character has six different vehicles right from the start, three karts and three cycles that alter the character's different racing attributes. In Grand Prix, 50CC races are kart exclusive, 100CC races are motorcycle exclusive. 150CC races allow for the mix of karts and motorcycles.

The player roster will start at 12 drivers. Right from the start the line-up of racers includes: Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Toad, Koopa, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, and Bowser. Even though there were no "question blocks" that hinted at hidden players, the menu selection seemed kind of "open," which leads us to believe that there are more characters that'll surface as you unlock them. Nintendo did confirm that you'd be able to race as Mii characters, but this was an option that wasn't available during our play session.

  11. This is awesome. I love the Red Alert series. I guess no more Yuri :( but a good thing considering he had many advantages in Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge.

I was definitely expecting some HDR. :( Do you mean "comical" as in "humorous," or as in "like a comic book"?

I would think it's the latter being Red Alert (Remember FMVs with Einstein?). I actually like the visuals. I played some of C&C3 and although it looked great there was too much to look at in my opinion. I think this "cartoony" style suits Red Alert.

  12. Well I was putting off pre-ordering Smash Bros Brawl because I figured there'd be enough but the attention it has gotten has been more than I expected so I went to GameStop and pre-ordered it. According to the guy working there, over 200 people have pre-ordered the game just in that store, and there's like 4 other Gamestop stores nearby. I'm glad I reserved it. :D
