  1. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26684258/ProceduralMidi_MIDIOutput.zip

I added to drake7707's program the ability to choose which MIDI output device you select, which means it can be used with MIDI loopback devices, such as LoopBe.

A quick guide to getting this to work:

    1) Install LoopBe. Download link is here.

    2) Inside ProceduralMidi, you'll see another drop-down box below the instrument box, which probably currently says "Microsoft Wavetable GS Synth". Change it to "LoopBe Internal MIDI".

    3) Set your VST host or whatever program you're using to use LoopBe as an input MIDI device.

I've already been able to output notes directly to synths in FL Studio.

p.s. drake, would you be interested in making ProceduralMidi a Google Code\Codeplex project?

Looks like Kontakt, minus some of the more advanced editing features (though I don't know what exactly).

The extra sample libraries are nice, but what I'm really glad about is that this opens the door on a lot of free Kontakt samples I couldn't use previously.

EDIT: Apparently there's a 30-minute time limit imposed on 3rd party sample libraries.

  3. Conveniently enough, the Pokemon Video Game Championship Nationals tournament is being held the 27th-28th in St. Louis, and I have free airfare\hotel there for winning one of the regionals. It's been a while since I've been involved in anything OCR-related, but I'd like to meet up with a few people in the evening.

  4. I had been thinking of doing that for awhile now. And it would be awsome, there is alot there. But the more I keep on thinking about it.... I dont think I could. It was his music and I really dont want to alter it in anyway (for better or worse). Maybe I should continue to think about it :)

I think we'd be doing him a disservice if his work never saw the light of day. I second the posthumous remix idea.

  5. Bringing an Edirol UA4FX for hooking up instruments to a laptop and through FL Studio (I think I heard bustatunez brought one last year).

Of course, I'm still looking for people to room with, so if anyone has any spots and think they could squeeze me in, please let me know!

  6. To be honest, I really am not sure what you mean.

I'm fairly certain what he means is that you've used many of the same synths from Confronto Finale in TEEM.ROKIT and REAKTR.1. I could tell Confronto Finale was one of your mixes within the first few seconds of hearing it, but the most telling sign was that gated synth that shows up around :50. It's one of the ones that really stands out in TEEM.ROKIT and REAKTR.1, too.

  7. I wish I had time to finish a track for this. Ended up having a lot of work. Oh well, here was my WIP, I spent all the time doing drum programming -

    www.soundtempest.net/robogang.mp3

What kind of organ did you use? I like it a lot more than the B3 I used in this ~40 second WIP I was hoping to finish before the deadline. I didn't spend so much time on drum programming - I thought the drums were sounding kind of nice at the start of the piece, but after that I just looped them.

  8. You could get something with gravity...(like clefairy)

Or teach a pokemon fling and equip it with a heavy metal ball to throw at brozong.

I've actually considered both tactics for getting earthquake to work since two of my stronger pokemon know it. Haven't tried them and might not go through the trouble of it, but then again...levitate is pretty damn annoying.

Or just use something else against the brozong, they're defense isn't terribly good maybe the E4 one is different.

You have to Trick\Switcheroo the Iron Orb onto Bronzong, not simply Fling it at him.

BrainCells - Live at the Sandopolis from Project Chaos

In other FoF news, that game has been updated to include hammer-ons and pull-offs, but the system isn't perfect. keep your old version for now and install the latest version of RF-Mod (version 3.5).

I can't get access to it even if I register. Is there a better link?

EDIT: Whoops, never mind. Looks like I can get in now.

  10. I tend not to use nicknames, there are over 600 different species and for most of the ones I've caught I have at least 2. I have luck incense which doubles how much money you get from battles, found it in some cave somewhere, but am still trying to find the lucky egg.

There was a sidequest in Colosseum XD where you got the Lucky Egg without having to hunt down a lucky Chansey. Chances are, there's quite a few players out there that have it. Try making friends with someone who did and cloned it on their Emerald.

(Not me, though. I won't have my hands on a DS and Diamond until I sell back my textbooks to the university.)

  11. Well, I tried for some time last night, and not even a sighting of a Growlithe. I don't have to get the National Dex first, do I?

And next, anyone want to trade?

I have aquired a Water Stone and a Moon Stone from digging underground. I'm willing to trade them for a good pokemon, like Eevee, Charmander, or a Vulpix.

I also have three fossils, one of which turned into a Sheildon. If they all do the same, I'll trade the extras. Make me an offer!

Yeah, you do have to get the National Dex first. And I'm not 100% certain of this, but I believe you also have to have the National Dex to trade for non-Sinnoh Pokemon like the three you just mentioned.

It's not that difficult, though - you just have to have seen, not captured, the 150 Pokemon to get it from the Professor. You'll be able to do that by battling the trainers since they have most of them, and Dialga\Palkia's entry can be gotten from an old woman in Celestic Town.
