  1. Well, I guess if that's the case, then beware disagreeing with the moderator; all he has to do is call your posts "pretentious bullshit", and... BAM! That moderator power is exercised.

All I know is that I've done far "worse" on many other boards and didn't have some self-righteous "mod" telling me that what I was saying didn't really matter anyway. All hail the prevailing mindset!

Christ, if I can go toe-to-toe with the leaders of SWF, guys who literally handle hundreds of thousands of dollars each year, disagree with them (posting in the same manner I do here, btw), and get away with having a different opinion, then I wonder what the hell I did wrong here. It certainly wasn't flaming my fellow posters; your guys had that base pretty well covered.

  2. Thanks for moving the thread to where it belongs (although, the original thread belonged in PPR, if that's the case; it's curious that nobody moved it there to begin with...).

And, for the record, it's not your job to judge whether "people want to listen to [my] pretentious bullshit", or whether or not my bullshit is pretentious in the first place. It's your job to moderate, to be impartial. If anything, the fact that you didn't infract any of the people flaming tells me exactly what kind of moderation you'd prefer to do around me, so if anything, I learned something.

Far be it from me to tell you how to do your job, but maybe all of my days on Smashboards just got me too used to good moderators who know that it's not their job to be judge, jury, and executioner when it comes to discussion topics. I'd suggest spending more time on well moderated boards, learn a bit. ^_-

  3. Man, I really called it when I said you'd close the thread and blame it on me, didn't I? I called which mod would close it and why! 2 for 2.

Well done, Mr. Moderator. I know few other forum mods who do their job quite as well as you.
