I would've made it if it were slightly earlier but 9pm central was about 3am in the morning for me lol.
Maybe next time though - especially if I don't have any lectures the next morning.
-
got a phater beat going on this time , you've got some tough competition now Blue , bwahaahaha.
Haha phater beat? I'll just have to make an even phater beat then!
-
Thanks James. I remember being told once before that I stick too close to the original melodies in this remix. Trouble is, I like hearing the original tunes in all ther glory lol.
I suppose my interpretation lies more in the arrangement of the sources rather than in melody. Is this enough? I don't really know.

Congrats Blue.Nocturne!
-
Ah very close indeed. Congrats TO.

Tracks remixed:
The Place I'll Return To Someday
Loss of Me
Song of Memory
You're Not Alone
If you have any feedback please don't hesitate to post it. Cheers.

Alex, I'm not part of the admin team for R:TS so I don't really know what's going on concerning your track. I'll get in touch with Garian as soon as possible.
Thanks very much Rexy.
-
I've listened to your song so many times Flik. xD I just can't get enough.
By the way, have you found it yet? ;P
-
Cheers for your time Flik. Hope to do this again in the future.
-
I hope a few entries do pop up before the deadline. :/
I'll be submitting mine to ThaSauce soon. Speaking of which, not that I want to appear impatient, but any idea if my PRC anniversary entry has made its way on to ThaSauce yet, Rexy?
Cheers.

(btw, Alex, I'm thinking about putting a limit on how long the descriptions can be... what do you think?)
Sorry I got a bit carried away with the story.
Did you use chiptunes =0?Nope.
-
I've just PMed my entry and description to you Abadoss. Hope you got it ok. Cheers.
-
I'd like to do a remix... but at the moment I'm short of ideas. :/
EDIT: I'm starting to get into this now. I'll definatelyy have to something to submit by the deadline.
-
Thanks HoboKa, I'll be looking forward to hearing the other entries as well. I just don't think I can wait until Saturday to start voting.
-
I'm really getting into my entry now. I'm having a lot of fun with it.
-
Oh wow what a choon. I love the source tune... but how could I possible alter this funky little gem? This is going to be a tricky PRC for me lol. I love the original TOO much to change it.
-
I'm... going to start again lol. Wasn't at all happy with what I started.
-
Damn if I wasn't away for the weekend I'd have entered.
-
YES YES YES!!!
Fantastic theme. I have a few ideas, just need to tie 'em together and I'll be well away.
-
Thanks for the info. I take it I've missed this competition then? I'll look out for the next one. Cheers.
-
Wha- can you explain what this involves please. :/
-
Congratulations Blue. Nocturne. Better luck next time HoboKa. It was a close round.
-
Well I just voted, so with any luck I've managed to break the tie?
By the way, whatever the result, both entries were fantastic this round, so well done both of you.
-
I had to read through this page a few times... at first I was truly speechless.
I haven't seen the voters' comments yet, but I'd just like to say thank you so much to all the talented competitors and all the voters.
I'd also like to say a quick thanks to Rexy for putting so much time and energy into every single PRC. And also to ThaSauce for awarding this fantastic prize - I'm honoured.
EDIT: Read the comment - unanimous first place votes? Wow, thanks very much. Sorry if my trombone playing sounded a bit out of tune. Basically I've been trying to work on intonation at college and my teacher has been saying I'm playing too sharp on certain notes. Trouble is, I over-compensated on this recording and may have ended up too flat in places. So after being taught there's 7 positions on the trombone... well that's not really true at all lol.

I think I would make better compositions if I stop worrying all the time about whether these "three notes sound generic", or "that chord sequence sounds generic".
I'm always too busy trying to come up with something that's "never been done before", when in reality the majority of the time I end up composing something too obscure and strange because of it.
The reason a lot of chord sequences are used so often is because they work and sound good!
