  1. I updated the song a bit - there's bound to be at least three off-key notes somewhere in there. http://www.mediafire.com/?6y2zxgn2czh Still working on other things. This hasn't been mastered yet. I'm open for any comments or critique.
  2. Well, here's what I've got so far: http://www.mediafire.com/?9lqzlzi032d Any suggestions? Comments? I know this thing needs more, but of what I still need help on...
  3. I live! O.O Alrighty, back to replying. It's good to hear some people like it. ^^ I'm still working on it somewhat, but some things just don't seem right. For one, I think it sounds too much like the original to be considered a remix. Also, something seems to be missing from it - I'm thinking about adding more drums, that's for sure, and the prelude in the background needs some tuning (someone told me it's a bit clashy @.@). I've also heard that it's a bit too long and needs to be shortened. At least it's going somewhere. Suggestions? Questions? Comments? Critique? I'm open to all of it.
  4. It's actually not quite finished yet. I'm still trying to make some touch-ups; I had to heavily reference the song in midi format to get some stuff right and remind myself about other things that needed to be put in. This is a remix of the "Promyvion" theme from Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia. There's a well-done midi of it on vgmusic.com. I'm trying not to make the remix sound like the original, and it's not exactly easy (I'm not even sure what genre the original could be considered outside of game music, lol) Edit: I updated AGAIN. Here's the link to the newer one. http://www.mediafire.com/?3mezx4omjxv ...Yeah, I know. I don't know about the rest of you, but I think I need a better snare drum. Really. A friend of mine told me that the current one is just too fake-sounding. I'm thinking about submitting this once it's done. Until then, I'm up for any suggestions or critique.
  5. I don't have much experience in the realm of remixing, but here's my first attempt at something. I decided to [attempt to] remix "Promyvion" and well, here's what came out. http://files.filefront.com/PC_promyvionremixmp3/;7701596;/fileinfo.html (Sorry, I know it's filefront, but I don't have my own host >< The song still needs some tweaking, that so-called piano at the end needs to be replaced with something (and yet I have no idea what to replace it with), the organ needs some fixing...and it needs to have an actual end. There also seems to be something missing, but I don't quite know what...
  6. No real title yet...but I was working on this a looong time ago in AnvilStudio when it flopped on me and I never finished it. It has a few problems here and there, I know. http://files.filefront.com/FFSuite_v008/;7238471;/fileinfo.html What do you people think? Should I continue this? Not as a midi file of course.
  7. The original song is used as the theme for a series of boss battles involving the Ark Angels (there's one Ark Angel for every race excluding the Zilart and Kuluu). Usually to survive in those fights you want to be at least in the high 60's levelwise, so naturally very few people get to hear it (as is the case with quite a bit of the FFXI music...). The original song can be found at the following link: I know, it's horrificly slow...I'll upload the song on filefront tomorrow. Scroll down and click on "Fighters of the Crystal". After the link scroll down a little ways and click "Download to computer". In other news...I've made progress! My recent Remix version: http://files.filefront.com/fghtrfthcrstlREMIX_v04mp3/;7238573;/fileinfo.html Still quite a ways from being finished (and still alot I need to fix T.T), but I'm working on it as we speak. ^^;
  8. The source tune is "Fighters of the Crystal" from "Final Fantasy XI: Rise of the Zilart". I'm working on it as we speak. Or type. Whichever. ^^; I'll post the newer one asap.
  9. I almost don't know what I'm doing here. Just fiddling around until I hear something I like, I guess. So far it sounds like it should be called Ark Angels in Space or something, lol ^^; This is the first attempt at a remix I've ever done. http://files.filefront.com/fghtrfthcrstlREMIX_2/;7224361;/fileinfo.html
  10. Dunno if this goes here, but anyways There's a song from Final Fantasy XI: Chains of Promathia called "Distant Worlds" sung by Izumi Masuda. It was made available to download, but it was not released with the CoP soundtrack. The song was also found on Masuda's CD "Romeo & Juliet" I believe. Sadly, I can't find any midis or sheet music of the song ANYWHERE. The song has been out since 9-22-2005. I can't find anything of it anywhere. I'm going to remix it - the main tune anyway - but AnvilStudio is not only being retarded, but also stubborn x.x Can anyone help me find a midi or some sheet music of some sort? Not even Google knows where I can find this one....
