  1. Actually I've been messing around with my brother's acoustic for a while, so chords are kind of my backyard by now. Soloing is what I'm really struggling with... And I did play with a click track, and the guiitar itself is pretty much in time, it's just the fact that the "bass" (guitar shifted down an octave in FL) playing was very sloppy that makes the guitar seem off beat. Also, I fixed the link to the second track, which is in my opinion the better of the two...
  2. So I got an electric guitar, and decided to do some video game stuff with it. And what better place to start than with megaman? Probably not submission-worthy due to the fact that I still suck at guitar, and didn't really bother to rearrange anything, it's all just a 1:1 cover really: http://noouch.de/audio/mm2_22_02.mp3 http://noouch.de/audio/mm3_w2.mp3
  3. Got the proper drivers (get them here)? It should show up in the MIDI device settings of FL. Also make sure it's turned on and recognized before you start FL.
  4. Very well done. I've been enjoying this in a loop for the past twenty minutes. In the first version theres's something about the sound I like better. The updated versions sound "thinner" in comparison, especially the synth and drums. I think you might have a bit too much reverb, the reflection seems to be dominating too much over the direct sound. Also the RMS volume is 3db quieter on your current mix. In short: excellent arrangement, but final master could be punchier and louder in my opinion.
  5. Just thought this might sound good. Most of it doesn't yet, the horrible guitar is going to go, maybe to be replaced by my own. The string layers and drum patterns are going to get deeper too, and of course the fine humanizing polish, and mastering are missing. Suggestions welcome. http://noouch.de/audio/contra_alpha2.mp3 *edit* Forgot to mention in the title that this is an early WIP...
  6. I'm currently working on an orchestral remix, and one thing that really bothers me is that any sampled instrument (especially strings and brass) sounds boring. There's no human element to it. I'm already carefully varying the note velocity to add a bit more spice and rhythm, and it's not helping much sound-wise. Are there any little tricks you use to add more variation between notes?
