  1. I just throw everything in iTunes and delete any mixes I don't care for. If it's part of an album, however, I'll keep it for continuity's sake.

That's how I do it. However, I feel compelled to go back and make changes to artists names in order to get some cohesive structure. It becomes a little frustrating to group the same artist together when he/she goes by 3 different names (i.e. Another Soundscape, anosou, Mattias Häggström Gerdt or Daniel Baronowsky, Danny Baronowsky, dB soundworks, etc.).

  2. There are a lot of pretentious ways I could answer this question - but the real reason is I just wanted them to stand out as much as possible. Usually for New Age, Ambient albums they have boring song titles like "Quiet Reflection", "Solitude", and that's fine for their medium but it wouldn't work here. It's also something I picked up from hours and hours of listening to Motoi Sakuraba - his song titles are ridiculous.

I do love the titles, it certainly worked alright with the type of music. Definitely a memorable album in just about every way.

  3. I was listening to this album when I was browsing OCR and lo and behold it appears revived from community discussion. This is some truly unique and amazing stuff and I'm somewhat ashamed I put off buying it for so long.

There was a comment earlier in this thread about the titles of each track (namely, long and weird). I'm just curious as to why each individual track was named as it was (seeing as I'll be doing reviews of each track shortly). What in your mind personally connected the titles to the tracks?

Anyway, great stuff. It's hard to find this kind of unique awesomeness in the music that I listen to.

  4. It's been more than a week and I have yet to blog about this. I'm thinking a full scale comprehensive review of every track from this album and Espers. I'd be doing Espers myself and I'd probably get two other authors interested in this to do Meteocrity. There's a good chance this won't be done until the end of September, but I'll be sure to link back to this thread so you know where to find it. Should be a lot of fun :)

  5. My good friend Oliver Sadie released his first album, Finding Stars a month ago today; I figured the OCR community could give a lot of good feedback to a talented artist like Oliver even though it isn't connected with video game music.

Oliver's album can be found on iTunes and Amazon, but if you don't have enough money to support the artist, all of the tracks on the album are available for free via Olvier's soundcloud page.

I've also done writeups of a few of Oliver's tracks from this album on my blog: Resolution, Ochre Threads, and Penelope.

Oliver Sadie has been a great inspiration for me and his use of Nanostudio (a DAW for iOS) has motivated me to continue composing and get an album of my own sometime.
