Theme: Role Reversal
Welcome to the April 2010 edition of the Fan Art Competition (FAC)!
As winner of last month's competition, Binjovi gets to choose the theme!
"I think I'm going to go with "Role Reversal". The idea is to take characters — be they heroes, villains, or damsels in distress — and switch their roles around, either by changing their usual behavior, or just casting them in a different light."

What is the Fan Art Competition?
The Fan Art Competition is a monthly event where artists create some form of art based on a certain theme.
What is the theme?
The theme is decided by the winner of the previous months competition (most of the time) and must be video game related.
Who can submit art?
Anyone.
What are my restrictions?
You are allowed to submit one entry, but other than that there are no restrictions. There are no size, quality, image size restrictions.
Who decides the winner?
The OCR community. Anyone who wants to vote, can vote.
How does voting work?
You vote for your three favorite entries, from first to third. These entries are given points based on the order in which you voted for them in. For example,
1st. Rambo
2nd. bonzai
3rd. Nyuura
In this case, Rambo would get 3 points, bonzai would get 2, and Nyuura would get 1 (although Nyuura gets three most of the time).
When and how do we see the results?
After the voting period is over, I'll announce the winner and show the tallied scores for all entries.
If I enter the contest can I vote?
Yes, and voting for yourself is allowed if you really want to.
Rules and Regulations!
1) Any art submitted must be based off of the months theme.
2) No nudity.
3) Your entry must be created within the month. It cannot have been something you've created in the past or partially finished prior to the announcement of the theme.
4) All entries must be 100% your work. Simply altering something created by someone else may be cool, but is not allowed as an entry.

Theme: Revamped
Welcome to the February 2010 edition of the Fan Art Competition (FAC)!
As winner of last month's competition, ProtoDome gets to choose the theme!
"Seeing as there's a trend nowadays for old skool videogame characters being "revamped" (for example Pit off Kid Icarus) my idea is to take videogame characters and concepts from the 70's and 80's (yeah, that includes the bats in Pong or the tank from Space Invaders) and update/reinterpret them in a modern or completely different way."

So sorry about the delay in getting the results posted, I've basically been sleeping for the past two days, with brief periods of engulfing food. Edited the first post with the results, and hopefully we can get the January FAC up and running shortly. Thanks to those who submitted and those who voted, really.
I also want to say thanks to those who told me in person at Magfest not to give up on the competition. This past FAC had me wanting to GTFO, but hearing that people still want the competition makes me feel less like giving up completely. So thanks. <3

Thanks for the submissions DJ Mighty.
Sorry to have been absentee for so long, I'm finally done with finals. Do you guys (besides DJ Mighty) have entries, either done or will be done before the end of December? If so, send them my way. If not, I'm unsure what we're going to do for January.
I'm going to be out of town starting on the 29th (IMPENDING MAGFEST) and I am unsure if I will have reliable internet access until January 7th or so. So if you DO have something to submit, send it my way. I'm going to make the deadline DECEMBER 28TH. I'll throw the entries up before I leave for unreliable internetz. We'll just have a really long voting period.
Sorry things are so janky for this month, the past month, and probably next month. Hope everyone else has survived this crazy month, if you had finals or just the upcoming holidays in general.

The best time I ever had on 2fort, both teams decided to go completely on the offensive, and then it was a race to see who could cap the intel 3 times. No turtling, no snipe offs, just epic sieges of each others bases.
Most of the time on 2fort, people either ignore the objective completely (sniperfort), or they only make an effort to defend the intel. Which I don't mind, I'll build a sentry and eat dinner for the 30 minutes. I think in Turbine, there can be a little less turtling, but then again there's always people who just want to Huntsman snipe in the vents. I like the CTF maps, I just hate how people play on them sometimes.
