Hey all, it has been quite a long time since I've posted anything on the forums here but I just got the judgenator email and figured I'd pop something in there. Boy did my band's mix of Shadow's Theme from FF6 throw it for a loop. Both the first responses thought it was a rap song (no lyrics but I could see how the drum beat might confuse it) and the second one ripped us a new one for a review. But the third time, no changes to my submission, and I got a smooth happy yes. I should have copied the responses. I wonder...

Cool man, I'd definitely like to meet you. I've been listening to OC Remix since its inception and both your name and remixes have always stuck out to me. Hopefully you'll be able to make it.

Hey everyone, I haven't posted on here in lord know's how long. I actually worked on a submission for here years back but started pursuing other interests. That being said, Eight Bit Disaster a brand spanking new video game cover/influenced band is playing in Raleigh, NC on Thursday May 10th at Ruckus Pizza at 9:30PM No Cover! $3 Bar specials! I know some of you cats are from the NC area and I wanted to share the music. This is arranged music with sax, guitar, bass, and drums with some special guests from bands in the area. This is a first appearance for the group and we are opening up for an awesome band out of Wilmington, NC called D&D Sluggers I hope some of you all can make it out and we have plans in the future for putting some of the music up and out there (hopefully DJ Pretzel and the judges approve of it) but wanted to let you know that Eight Bit Disaster is out there and we plan on making some waves with the sound. Count me in on this one. Super big fan of Mr. Uematsu and his music. He has greatly influenced my stylistc approach, to both playing and listening to music. Would be rather amazing to meet the man in person. Elliot
