Hope to hear more from you. This is great. Love it.

I always download work by GrayLightning because I always know it is quality work. Once again, I was not let down. Excellent. A great and memorable track redone flawlessly.
-
I love it. Very beautiful.

I like the style of the remix. But it could be longer; the Terra theme ends almost abruptly. There is a lot of potential here for further remixes, me thinks.
-
Just finished listening to it again. God, I love this remix. Chilling to the bone, especially the voices. Just thought I'd mention again how much this remix rocks!
-
Been listening to this for a while now since I got it of WIP. Love it. Wouldn't change a thing. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it has a "Parasite Eve" aspect to the song. Anyone else?
Anyways, love it. Great theme and great game.

wow! very cool!
like everyone says, it sounds like final battle music. (perhaps in ff x-2?, lol).
-
good stuff. there are FAR to few final fantasy adventure mixes. thanx for making a good one.

this is of professional quality. i am astounded. i gotta hear more from this guy, and soon!

very very very very very coool, and add a few more 'verys' for originality.
I think this is great stuff. Cheerz to Zyko for pushing the envelope- and doing it rather well.
for every person that dosen't like it because its 'different', you'll have others like me liking it that much MORE because its different.
very true. love it. i'd like to see more originality like this around here.
and i'd love to hear more from zyko.

... On the other hand, the manga Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind is my most prized material possession, and perhaps one of a handful of defining factors in my life. Thus, the soundtrack to the Nausicaa anime is my favorite music solely because of the vast wealth of emotions it can create for me.
In short, I think AmIEvil depended too much on the listener's feelings about FF6 and the tragedy of the original theme in his interpretation. That is why I believe it is not a good remix.
u are contradicting yourself here. you are saying that you like a soundtrack because of the emotional quality it created for you, and yet you are also saying you don't like AmIEvil's remix because of the emotional quality that he is trying to convey. Because he felt that emotion, he tried to convey it to us; he enhanced the feeling. that was the goal of the remix. if someone had remixed your anime soundtrack because they were moved by it's emotion, as it had done to you, would you not like the result?
it is the same for us and this track.

Did I miss something? Am I listening to a different remix than everyonee else here?
Flame me if you want. Ban me if you want. I'm not playing devil's advocate, either, this is my actual opinion.
everyone is entitled to their opinion, but have you played FF6? most of the other remixes on this site don't even come close to this remix. i don't know; maybe i just love ff6 so much that i really like this track, but i still think it's one of the best ever.

i totoally forgot about this game until i saw its posting here. awesome job. sounds like something from silent hill 2 actually. very cool.

I don't like this style too much, but it is well done. Loved amievil's 'death on the snowfield' and 'let there be light' much much more though...got any more of that comin'?

Oh, lets not forget Nightmare in Devil may Cry, on Dante Must Die. Annoyance level like, infinity.
Any part of devil may cry on dante must die is hell. anyone who can finish that game without cheating on that mode deserves a medal.

Very good stuff! Nice Cid mix!

Insanely Beautiful.

I can see Mega Man fighting his way through to the eight bosses right now...

Really Cool. Brings true emotion to the track.
I recently went to EgM's site, and was blown away by the caliber of talent that these two have. I listened to the other tracks they have, such as Final Fantasy Adventure's "Unknown" theme, and what can I say? It breathed such new life into it that I am just stunned. Excellent work. To hear quality work like this brings back the good memories of the game.
In a word: Superb.

I cannot tell anyone how happy I was to see another Star Ocean 2 ReMix on this site!!! It is a very emotional piece that seems to fit Rena's personality near the beginning of the game.
My only request is that these two awesome ReMixers (Dale and EgM) maybe make another remix of a different track. There are so many to choose from in Star Ocean 2.
But again, a masterful piece of work. Well done.
EDIT: After reading the other reviews, I'll also say that all of EgM's other Mixes are superb as well. You've got the talent.

Awesome. I downloaded this earlier, but never listened to it. Now I can't get it off of Winamp. Hope to see more like this!
-
I've had this on my computer for awhile now, and I still listen to it. It was originally on VGMix. I get as many of Russell Cox's ReMixes as I can!! He has an ingenious way of ReMixing these songs.
I always have felt that if anyone was to make a live-action film of Final Fantasy VII (or Ninja Gaiden -- the other ReMix that he has) I would hope that they would hire him to do the score soundtrack.
Always excellent work, and I hope very much to hear more.

It seems that DJ pretzel played this one down a bit, but I have to disagree with him. The song is a welcome difference to the techno beats, and is done beautifully. The transitions are awesome, and the song is soothing and cool. I'd like to hear more of this.

The creepy tunes of the original are still here. I liked this one as well, but someone should do the remix of the inside of the cabins. That one is REALLY creepy.
