  1. Maybe it's not the best topic to ask this information. But the last topic on kickstarter was closed. Is there another where we can see some updates? Now that the album is available on the net, it would be great to have some news on the physical copies Thanks! This album was really great! Sorry if I'm a little impatient to see these CDs in real
  2. Thank's for your feedback! I hope finding good information in your links I don't understand what you mean by the rapid kick drum. The arrangement is thought like this. If I change this rythm, the mix lose of is meaning. And I've yet reduced the bass drum a lot. This mix need a minimum of rhythm I agree that with kick + synth + bass together, it may be too loud. I'll try to work on EQ on panning on each group of instru. Separatly, it amount to restart at the begining... I'll see what is possible I'll do my best to get a better version
  3. Hi! Here is the last version of my mix. http://www.reverbnation.com/bluelighter Saga Frontier 2: Main Theme Remix It regroups several influences like piano, exotic, symphonic, rhythm of metal and some electronic elements. I think it is globally ready except for the volume that, after normalization, I feel too weak. Is the volume tolerable for an extern ear? Else, is there good way to correct it? I saw on the forum notion of EQ. Is it possible to work on it on the whole finished piece? Or was it better to work on it gradually? I’m afraid I have to restart all my works on this piece. I have this problem on all my musical projects. Any advice would be welcome Thank for your responses!
  4. Yes, I meant physical copies, sorry. Is it still scheduled for august?
  5. Some news about the digital copies? The last news I had, the sending intended at the beginning of august. Will there be a notification from kickstarter?
  6. Great intro for a great album! The quality sound of orchestra is really bluffing!
  7. what a power in this mix! The source wasn't the easiest track to adapt. Great job
  8. A great thanks OCR for this amazing album! A new time, the community reveals the extent of its talent. I love the side eclectic of this album. I’ve a weakness for the ending theme, the spinag rag, the unforgiven… I despaired to hear one day and arrangement worthy of these masterpieces. And sure I love also the prologue, which shows straightaway the incredible level of this album. Special mention for XPRTNovice, for his particular style really appropriated for the final fantasy atmosphere. I’m eager to hear his other works on OCR I was afraid to be disappointed after these months of wait, but this album is really flawless! GREAT TRIBUTE TO MASTER UEMATSU!!!!
  9. Certainly the mix that has the most leaved a mark on me in OCR story! It deal with different styles of music, each with an impressive virtuosity! Despite of this eclecticism, Star Salzman manage to get a coherent wholepiece. I’ll never get tired to take a listen on this from time to time, a real masterpiece! Great job!
  10. Update. I've recorded a new version of this piece, that I've posted on OCR. LINK DELETED This time, I've used an electric piano directly linked to my recording. I hope the quality sound is better. FOr this occasion, I've corrected the end that didn't work. So, this piece is only from mining town. I hope you enjoy
  11. I’ve just seen the Kickstarter’s update! Box sets are really sumptuous! I’m really eager for seeing them for real. This spring is really promising for OCR
  12. Thanks for your advice! Yes, it's my big fault. I can hung up too much time on a mix until I get a result, even if this result don't come. So I'll try to give up more easily up and to multiply my tracks.
  13. Really interesting topic! It’s reassuring to see veterans of OCR have begun too So, 5 years? Maybe the double? Yes, we can become frustrated when, after all our efforts, we are no more able to see what to do to progress. I spend an uncountable number of hours on some mix to get a result, not good enough for OCR. At this step, I’m not able to see what I have to do to progress, the judging being often not understandable (technique notions those I don’t know). I’d really like to know how long an experimented person can spend to get a good and proper mix. I ask this because after retouch and retouch, never getting a good result, maybe it would be reasonable to work on sthg easier or to drop it. I recognize that I have made some progress since my register five years ago. Although it can be difficult to morally hold and to bear all these negative responses, OCR gave me the boost and the motivation to invest myself on this. So thanks for that!
  14. update. I've have corrected last points on the end. enjoy!
  15. Arr Damn! Steiner's theme is one of the indispensable of ff9, a key in Uematsu's work...
  16. Thank you! I post it on OCR. For the moment, this record is the best I can do with my way. I've amplified it and compare with other piano pieces of OCR. It's a little less loud; but I think the volume is acceptable. Let's see if it will be accepted
  17. Thank you! I've put another file without reverb added after the record. What do you think about it? Is it too dry? http://www.reverbnation.com/bluelighter I feel it acceptable but I'd need an extern ear
  18. Hi! I've finally made a new record, now directly linked to a synthetisor. I find the sound cleaner http://www.reverbnation.com/bluelighter (the first of the list) I have put some reverb on this, I wonder if there is not too much. I had choice between this or a sound really to dry. Also, I wonder if the result is enough loud. I couldn't do better because of saturation at the end. What do you find about this? Is this quality of record presentable to OCR? Thanks for your feedbacks
  19. Ah ah!!! Great news ff1 was an awesome album!! So, what's the goal now for ff4?
  20. I hope it's wrong! I can't understand that all work yet done on it can be just... forgotten. The first album was great, I've real hope on the following.
