  1. In addition to what the users before have stated, I think that the use of the sound effects taken from various games was a bit gratuitous. It almost seems like the sound effects are trying to cover for the flaws of the song. Maybe I'm right or perhaps I'm reading too much into this. At any rate, the ReMix isn't all that bad, but it isn't necessarily good either.

  2. I don't recall reading in this thread a huge change: TMs are reusable. Holy crap. There is no excuse not to use them when they help.

It's really down to a matter of taste if you ask me. I personally prefer to pick out a pokemon's level-up moves and use those, although I do admit to being a heavy user of the HM move Surf in gen 4. I understand that TMs can add more variety to the moveset, but they just don't appeal to me for some reason.

  3. Pretty kickass if you ask me. I may go to the trouble of acquiring the finished product when possible.

As you know Alter, I'm no expert, but I do believe that you did quite well with the source material. I kinda doubt that this remix is in need of much else, but you may want to wait for more comments from other members before you declare this one finished.

As for the problem with the kick drum, I didn't notice it. If it is there, chances are that it's a problem with reduced quality on the hosting site. As long as the original file is clean, you should be fine.

  4. It's a good thing this thing is free because it is of much higher quality than any CD that requires one to pay for it.

Truthfully, I expected the album to be mediocre at best and containing only a few good songs. Then I actually started listening to it and got punched in the eardrums for being doubtful. I'm especially pleased by the tracks that contain actual singing, although the death metal arrangement of Crocodile Cacophony amuses me to no end (I'm assuming that death metal is supposed to sound threatening, so I suspect that the song in question does the opposite of what the genre is trying to accomplish).

Kudos to absolutely everyone who participated in this project and here's hoping future projects come out just as great.

  5. Kinda meh, imo. It seems like your standard dance mix with nothing much being done to it. The synths being used don't really grab my attention and the arrangement seems a bit too close to the source. It might be passable on youtube, but I don't know how well it would do on a site like this.

I did get some enjoyment out of it, but it still needs a lot more work.

  6. While Flipside's theme isn't my favorite from the game, it still has it's charms. It would appear to me that you are doing the best you can, but me thinks the melody needs a little more volume. Aside from that, it's really nice and mellow. Perfect for listening to once the proper adjustments are made. Of course, I'm just a novice myself, so I'm not sure if this is helpful at all or not.

  7. I don't play PC games myself, but a classmate of mine got his copy and he says that the darned thing was so buggy since it was just released. When he went to get the first patch for the game from the company's website, he apparently got a virus as well. I'm telling the story how I remember being told, so hopefully some of you know what I'm talking about.

  8. um, hi there. I'm very new to remixing(or is it ReMixing? the site has me confused there.), so I'm in need of both practice and advice. Chances are that I'll spend more time discussing other things or hiding in the background, but I do have dreams of actually becoming a decent ReMixer. Most of my internet time is dedicated to either youtube or specific forums, so I may become a frequent poster. I hope you guys will tolerate me, if not like me to a degree.
