I just updated the rules regarding cancelled games. I’m only ReMixing games that have been finished and released on the Saturn. Games that we’re meant to be on the Saturn will NOT be accepted. I’m sorry guys, but that’s my decision.
Regarding Segata Sanshiro’s theme, I am fully aware the song is technically a TV advert. But since he is somewhat of a mascot for this console (and had his own game) it would be a criminal offence not to remix it. I’m not expecting this song to pass the ocr judges and added to the library. I just thought it would be nice to give his theme a more up-to-date take.
But if this can’t be helped, then I’ll remove Segata Sanshiro’s theme off the list, without any hassle…

Well everyone, since a lot of you have expressed high support of my idea from the original topic, I’ve decided to myself “Oh why not? Let’s do this thing!” Let’s get recruiting!
As I’ve mentioned, I will need help from someone with more experience in album projects then me. I will do my very best to help however I can. If anyone has any suggestions of a better title for our album, don’t be afraid to say so.
THE RULES
1) Only SEGA Saturn games can be remixed. If the game was originally from the Arcades, then ported onto the Saturn, I’ll consider it. If the game was also available on the PS1 and/or N64 (mostly PS1), but has not yet been remixed on either of these lists, I’ll think about it.
2) One ReMix per game or series. I know we all like/love NiGHTS into Dreams… (I personally prefer the Wii sequel any day(oh yeah, I went there!)) But there are 596 Saturn games, from well-known to obscure, that deserve the OCR treatment. Here’s a list of Saturn games to help you.
3) Any music genre is welcome. Pretty self explanatory.
THE TRACKLIST
For now, I’m only looking to get at least 20 ReMixes for this album. But we might add more. And as an added bonus, we’ll do 2 variations of Segata Sanshiro’s theme. An English version and the original Japanese version.

THE DEADLINE
Our goal is simple. We need to get this album out in time for November 22nd 2014, in time for the original Japanese release 20 years ago. However, if push comes to shove, I’ll be willing to push it back to 2015 (somewhere around June maybe) at the latest. I'll post an organised timetable later in the week.

The list has once again been updated, also I shall claim Robo Pit. My brothers and I use to play that game nearly all the time. I’m STILL looking for an Assistant Director and more recruits.

Hi there guys! A week or so ago, I’ve been thinking of an idea for an album.
On November 22nd 2014, will mark the 20th Anniversary of the SEGA Saturn (in Japan). So I thought to myself “What if Overclocked ReMix made an album dedicated to this console?” So I thought I’d pitched this idea with you lot and see how many of you would be interested in it.
Now I’ve already read the Project Guidelines & I might need someone with more experience with album projects then me to lend a helping hand, since this will probably be my first album project. I’m also fully aware there are lots of album projects, some of which that are in desperate need of getting finished. However, I am willing to push it back to 2015, for the Europe or US release dates respectively, if push comes to shove. And finally, the rules will be similar to the Game Boy 25th Anniversary album.
Anyway, that’s my idea. If you guys like this, please let me know & we’ll work our way from here.

I got this game (and a new PS3, since the old is broken) for Christmas. So far, I'm really enjoying this game. For the most part, it pretty much blew the first one out of the water.
Oh and before I forget, the results for the DLC challenge are as follows...

Someone remind me, what's the name of the planet this game takes place on? Is it the Little Planet or the Miracle Planet? I can never remember which is the official name.
It's called the Little Planet.
The only time it's ever been called the Miracle Planet is in "Sonic the Comic", a comicbook series in the UK.

From what I've heard, the second episode won't be out until somewhere in January next year. That's roughly 3 months from now!!

There’s a new mode announced known as World Tour. Also my friends, MeeMee from Super Monkey Ball joins the roster & finally, Big the Cat won’t be playable but he will appear as a cameo.

Agreed. My working title (if we don't come up with something better) will be East Meets West: A Sonic CD Tribute Project. East Meets West or East vs. West is pretty much the same thing, but I like the idea of east meets west a bit more, as in two separate soundtracks are coming together for the project, instead of east versus west, which implies that the soundtracks are somehow "facing off" against one another and that one will win. If that makes any sense.

I've said this in page 4 of this topic and I'll say it again.
I like this idea alot. It would be nice to see this game get some more love. If I recall in the Sound of Speed topic, I believe AkumajoBelmont suggested that we should call it Sonic CD: East vs. West.Considering the fact that this game had 2 soundtracks, I for one second that name.

I’m surprised that no one has made a topic about this yet.
Back in March, a new anime called Aoi Sekai no Chuushin de was announced. It wasn’t until a few days ago that this news has spread.
Segua Kingdom has been losing the war against Ninterdo Empire but the tables are turned by the appearance of a boy called Gear. All the characters are parodies of Nintendo or Sega games such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda etc.You can find more info about it here and here. Will this be any good you may ask? Well we will find out soon enough, on October 20th.
