    Hey guys, I haven't been about the forums in a few years but I'm back now :P

    I used to enter into the cmc sometimes, is that still on the go?

    Anyhow, this remix definitely got my juices flowing so I've spent the last 6 hours throwing together this remix:

    My ears are pretty tired right now so I'll probably return to it tomorrow or the day after to go over the production and make it more interesting but I thought I'd get it up soon just incase I go missing before the deadline or if there is something I'm missing out on to make my submission invalid etc.

    Tell me what you think guys, all c and c is greatly appreciate and once I get listening to the other submissions I'll make sure to give you guys feed back. Cheers!!!

    Fine piece mate, keep on going! I'm glad that I chose a song that got remixers to the work, because this 8bit game is one of the bests moments I had in gaming in my childhood... I really dig the passion you guys put to the songs you make! Think I'll do a new remix soon, my skills are too rusty for playing guitar for newer remix so maybe I'll make a trance stylish mix next as a bonus song :) and ppl, submit more remixes! only 3 days left... go go! :razz:

    thanks for the constructive reply, they really help me on my way on making music :) yes I've found it is pretty hard to achieve a realistic sounding orchestra on a computer, though hans zimmer does it pretty fine on some of his newer pieces :b I tried to lower the volume of attacks of flutes oboes 'n so, but when I do that the other instruments gets on the way, so I think I need start to train the mixing/filtering part of the sounds better for the next version or just remove some cellos and violins :) keep suggestions coming. cheers

    I really like this mix. My only comment would be similar to DaMonz in that the last minute or so is a copy-paste of the earlier part. I think you could just cut the buildup at 3:29. Maybe even cut 3:29 all the way to 3:49ish and just get right to the meat. There are several buildups in the mix and at that point I feel like "oh I heard this buildup earlier." Just a thought. Also take this with a grain of salt.

    I just cutted the loop thingie away from my recent version, and yeah maybe its still too repetive

    thanks for the reply, I'll look in to the matters once again when I got the time, and yes, that ending is something stupid now that I listen it again ... :P and that 2:10 sound sounds to me like its from megaman 3 intro, so I sticked to it, though maybe I should change it too ... moar opinions needed :)
