I recently discovered OCRemix, and this was the first mix I heard that compelled me to immediately go look up all the author's other works. Other mixes have since surpassed this in my mind, but damn did it make an impression. Listen to it, love it. Methinks you're interpreting this through a lens it was not meant to be viewed with. As in, completely different (not to mention, entirely invented) mythology is involved.

Fantastic remix. Solid. My one criticism is that I found the fade-out and fade-in between the two sections a bit jarring. I'm not a fan of fade-out to end a section or piece in general, though, so it's possible I'm biased.
