  1. Hi, I was just wondering, do you know when my remix (passed the panel, Zelda's Lament, from last April) is going to be posted? I don't mind if it's still a couple of months away, I'd just like to maybe get a little indicator of how long it might take. Thanks!

  2. Wow, thanks a lot! :D First one of my mixes to get through, so thanks for making my day.

  3. I was just wondering, do you know the state of my Legend of Zelda remix? It's called Zelda's Lament and I submitted it last year in April? I was just thinking it's been a while and was thinking you might know how the process was going. Thanks a lot!

  4. I got it, yeah! Just need to some way to download the 'Play' player thingy. Entirely legally, of course...

  5. (continuing on XD)

Do you have any idea where I could possibly buy or find good string samples on a limited budget? I love writing for them but my current strings are terrible and I really need to upgrade so that I can be happy with the quality I'm getting.

Thanks again! The review was certainly very useful, although I think my drive to continue work on the track has almost completely gone. I'll keep in mind all the stuff you said for future tracks, though!

  6. Thanks for the advice and praise! I suppose the mix sounded a bit MIDI-ish because it was all played in using a MIDI keyboard. I did actually perform most if not all of the piano parts, though, so I don't know why it doesn't sound humanised at all. I also tried to get humanisation in the other instruments through recording them, so I suppose next time I'll try to add more expression and thought into each string or woodwind part and their phrase lengths and so on.

As for the drums, I don't really know exactly what happened in that regard. ^^; I acquired new samples recently (free ones, but better quality than standard crappy Mixcraft defaults I was using) and I spent a very long time on the velocities to try and get it to sound decent. It was mostly a learning exercise for programming drums, so I think it was at least a partial success for a first time job.

  7. Just in case you missed it, I asked for a mod review for this track - http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?t=42196 If you saw it, sorry for this message. ^^; I just wanted to be sure because otherwise it might have gotten lost amongst the other mod reviews that you posted at the same time. Thanks! Your critiques have been really helpful in the past. :D

  8. Sorry to be a bit of a pain, but any idea how my mix is going? :P It's been a while since I had an kind of response of any kind from any of the judges and I just want to know if it's still got a chance or not. ^ ^; Thanks!

  9. Hey there! Just wanted to ask how my mix is doing. :3 Also, if it's sitting at 3Y could you please help me convince someone else to judge it. XD Thanks!

  10. Thanks for the advice!

  11. Hello there! I was just searching for anything about Pianoteq on the forums and your name came up, so I'd just like to ask how you get the most out of Pianoteq 4. I just bought it and for some reason the sound quality is distorted and it sounds really bad to how it was compared to when I tried the trial version. How do you get it to sound any good? D:

  12. Hi there. I'm really sorry about what I'm about to say, but I think I've gotta say it anyway before the project goes any further. I've been working on a WIP for the Flat Notes source that I chose, and I'm finding it incredibly difficult. There's hardly any other interpretations of it out there, there isn't even a MIDI I could see to check my playing, and I'm starting to dislike the source. All I've got is a mess, and I think I'm going to have to back out of this album. I'm really sorry, and I apologise for the problems this may cause.

  13. Hi there! Could you possibly link me to the Sega Radio podcast's episode that you heard my remix in? (The Planet Wisp one.)

  14. Just saying, dude, it's 'Pl511'. XD

I didn't exactly add flourishes, but I made it have a little more variation and changed up a few of the lines. Also, happy birthday! XD

  16. I'm sorry, but I still have no idea what you mean by adding flourishes to my remix. I know the types of things you mean but I really don't know where they would fit at all.

  17. When you commented on my remix, did you mean the one with the added reverb? Just asking because I'm about to upload the final mp3 for submission. And by that I mean did you mean to say that it sounded better? I'm just sort of confused. :S I did a little echoing thing like you suggested and it's sounding great. :D
