Wow, that IS hydrocity. Man, I'm a moron. I think its just cause Sonic and Ice Cap zone are so mutually exclusive at OCR, I figured that's what it was. I should've been paying more attention.

Hehehe, well, I sure wasn't expecting the beginning. I thought it was just gonna be a straight Metropolis remix...but then there was ice cap zone...and I got confused. But I enjoyed the ice cap portion of it, it was rhythmic and joyous. Only thing I would've changed is making the rhymths more full, to go with the large beat. The flutes sounded slightly weak compared to the drums. But all in all that was good. Then it changed to the metropolis theme for a few seconds, which was cool. Similiar issue here as in the ice cap section. Rhythms could've been bigger. I think this was a great effort seeing as the remixer combined two songs together to make one, and have them layer on top of eachother and STILL make a good mix. Great job!

Well, having listened to the original hundreds upon hundreds of times, I've become very used to all the little nuances in the song that made it great. So, all in all the mix was amazing...but I'd say, I was sorta disappointed that there wasn't a harder bass on the bottom, that's sorta what made the song what it was, the very powerful beat. As well as at the end of every little trumpet riff, to have a loud cymbal crash. I was soooo sad that wasn't in there, it sorta killed the whole climax of the song. But I mean, the quality is ungodly regardless. I'm shocked this wasn't just taken from some soundtrack. hehehe

I'm glad such a song was created. I have few mellow songs in my playlist of such quality. For me the big problem with mellow songs is they get boring too fast, but this one seems to work for me. This ALSO may be contributed to the fact that I enjoy the original a lot as well. I'm torn between which I like more, the remix or the original. Honestly I don't know which I'd rather listen to, cause the original is mellow, but more music is there. I dunno. I thought it was pretty good.

Strangely enough, after listening to the song, it really reminded me of the original raven's nest theme from Armored Core...sorta sounds like it. Strange. heh

My prayers have been answered. I requested this remix a couple months ago, and ya came through for me! :D I so happy!
