I figured I'd share a couple of my new projects. You can see a change in the line art starting around "Project 10" or the one of Piccolo from "Dragon Ball Z". I finally started using 300p resolution for my drawings around the time I started that one. I wish I could've done that for the "Street Fighter V" drawing I made (Imagine how much better it could've looked; also lazy-eye Ken).

"Project 12" (the Smash Bros. one with the random fox-guy/my pseudo-mascot) was actually a collaboration, between me and UK artist John Baker (better known as "Deamondante", who can be found on deviantART). Of course he did most of the work, I mostly made fixes, such as to my own character, adding in Pikachu (for a 4-Player Smash), and of course making Link look more like, Link XD

Anyways enjoy the drawings and let me know if you have any album covers or posters you want me to work on.

I've made a new Gamertag (Zer00-1nfinity) and play USFIV on PS3.

I upload a lot of replays from online onto my channel (most of which is Ryu [Me] vs. Evil Ryu/Ken/Dan), so if you want to grade how bad I am at the game, feel free. I usually upload a new replay a couple days a week, since I play it every time I turn on the PS3. If you would like to fight against me (and probably beat me), feel free to add my Gamertag, or vice-versa.

Also if you're a good Ryu, Ken, Guile, (Balrog, Rolento, Vega) or Yun player, let me know because I would love to learn some new combos and stuff like that with these guys.

I've heard it said that the Vita version of SFxT can be considered the definitive version of the game. I definitely have a ton of fun with it.

Whoever said that is right on the money. It has just the right amount of balance in gameplay, plus there's a good bit of pleasure in doing a Super Combo the way the game intended it (Special Movement + All Three Punches/Kicks)

    ------------------------------------

I am sad that SSFIV:AE (or just SSFIV) and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (or Tekken 6) weren't ported to the Vita though. If Tekken 6 was able to be on PSP and SSFIV on 3DS, so how hard would it have been to port them to the Vita? I feel the same way about Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (probably would've boosted Vita sales as well as the game itself), Seeing as how games like PS-All Stars and of course SFxTK run so smoothly on Vita, I'm surprised Atlus never put P4A(U) on a portable console :/

Sorry, I kind of rambled my inner thoughts there for a bit :?

  4. I speak for several fans of Street Fighter IV when I say that Abel's theme is pretty f**king sweet.

Which makes me wonder why I've never seen anyone do an actual remix of the song. I don't even care what genre it is as long as it's recognizable.

If you're looking for an example, how about a piano sonata? Maybe play on the sympathetic aspect of Abel, not knowing his past, wondering what he is.

Or just make it sad sounding, kind of like this old MM5 remix from 2002: http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR00781

  5. I've actually had a fun time with it. P4 Golden has brought nothing but a smile to my face while I've been playing it, and as expected, the music is great too.

SFxTK has Gallery Mode (A Sound Test, Cutscene Viewer, and AR Mode), the characters that I wanted so bad in the PS3 version, and a Burst Kumite mode (So much fun!!). It even lets you play your own music (like the PS3 version) if you prefer.

On another note, I finally got Ultra Street Fighter IV, and have been playing with Rolento, Yun, and Ryu (Ramen Shop/Alternate Costume 3) too much.

Thanks for all of the recommendations guys, I'm actually planning on getting LBP Vita, BlazBlue EX, and the MGS Collection for Vita, to name a few.

    ---------------

As for P4:DaN, I have mixed feelings, I know it's a great game, and it plays beautifully, but I feel it lacks a bit in content (only 27 initial songs, not including DLC). I'll probably end up buying it anyways though.

  6. Just an interesting concept I thought of the other day. What if we used Dr. Wily Stage 2 from Mega Man 3 as a base, but incorporated the Wily Stage 2 theme from Mega Man 4?

It's nothing special and I don't expect responses. If anyone knows a way to build on this, that would be awesome though.

  7. Long story short, my PSP finally broke (internal screen cracks), rendering it unusable. I was so close to beating MGS Peace Walker too  :banghead:

Anyways, I figured it's high time I upgrade to a PS Vita. But of course, I have a few questions about it.

    1) Is it able to play old PSP games? I have Peace Walker, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, Tekken Dark Resurrection, Maverick Hunter X, and the like; and I would still like to play them.

    2) Can I carry my PSP data over to my PS Vita? I really would like to finish Peace Walker without starting over from the beginning.

    3) What games would you recommend for the PS Vita? This is something that's bothering me, because now I'm dealing with a brand new library of games.

4)Any other things I should know about the PS Vita? If you have anything else you feel like mentioning...please say so.

    Thanks for reading.

  8. So I was wondering, if anyone has time, it'd be amazing to see someone produce a full rendition of this track and truly capture the dark side of it.

Of course there's also the overseas (JAP/PAL) version, which, while it was not near as dark, was a solid boss track.

Maybe if one is too hard to choose, there could be a mix of both tracks, kind of like the boss themes from Crash 2 & Crash 3. You could use the Overseas Version but still take cues from the Cortex Theme made in the US version.

I would love to make this myself, but I lack a music program, so I'm in a rut. I trust that someone will find the idea interesting, if not remix-worthy :-)

  9. Hey guys, it's me again. I've been playing all of three of the "Naughty Dog" Crash Bandicoot games like a madman on my PSP.

It feels great; replaying all of these old games from when I was a kid.

    ------------------

"Crash Bandicoot" is a tough cookie to crack, but the gameplay is solid, the music's wonderful, and graphics are pretty good (for a 1996 game).

"Cortex Strikes Back" was a brilliant sequel. I enjoyed this soundtrack the most out of the three, and the graphics actually look like they were made for a PSP (my friends have thought that this whole time, until I told them it was a PSX game XDD). The challenge is good and the level design is done magnificently well.

"Warped" would be my all-time favorite. The bosses are fleshed out really well, they are all unique, and have good music to boot. The replay value in this one was amazing, collect the relics AND the gems to reach a fully completed story.

This isn't part of the trilogy but I'll talk about it too: "CTR" is probably my favorite racing game of all time. I have ALL of the DLC in Mario Kart 8, I've played through CNK 100%, and I've spent so much time with Double Dash!! "CTR" just has that extra oomph that nothing could compare to. The race tracks and boss levels were TRULY fun, and unlocking the boss characters was SO worth it!!!

    --------------------

So what about you guys? What was your favorite "Naughty Dog" Crash Bandicoot game and why?

  10. We're all familiar with crossovers. Marvel vs. Capcom, Street Fighter X Tekken, and the (not as good as it could've been) X-Men vs. Avengers Crossover Comics name just a few.

Then you have "When Worlds Collide! Sonic X Mega Man"; this comic actually was a twelve-part full-on story; not one of those crossovers you think of in Elementary School while munching on a PB&J.

I always thought it'd be pretty cool if the scientists "Dr. Wily", "Dr. Robotnik", "Dr. Cortex", and (the only NOT-scientist, but stoic and mysterious) "(Mr.) Dark" (from the original "Rayman" game) banded together in a plot across dimensions to destroy all of them and rebuild whatever was left.

Of course it'd be an excuse to have Crash Bandicoot and Rayman (as well as Sonic and Mega Man) team up and become a "Cross Combo" Team.

    --------

What about you guys? Have you ever had a crossover that you've wanted to see; be it a "Who Would Win" crossover or a crossover with a story?

  11. OMG IT'S MEGA MAN!!!!

    e5md6f.jpg

I was making a final project for my Graphic Design class; so of course, I looked for my old Surface Pro 3 doodle of "Mega Man" I did at the Atlanta Mall. After redrawing the images and getting the base colors onto it, I started shading the image and applying some shines onto his armor and gave a bit of a mix-color onto the rifling of his Mega Buster, as well as the inside of his ear-hole-things.

I added a slight lighting texture afterwards, and used an old gear texture I had made a few months back. I put a translucent blue gradient in front of it, and concluded with my signature and the "Mega Man" logo. So guys, how did I do, for a 17-year old with a Windows XP tablet?

    Thanks for reading...

  12. The whole game is superlative, but my favorite thing about it is how well the 3D is utilized.  It's especially noticeable in the mine sequence with the floating platforms.  Dash to the right off of the second one and you can skip the entire cave after a ridiculous flying leap that feels amazing with the 3D turned all the way up.

All these things to experience. I feel like I missed out on some of it XD

But finding the Hylian Shield, Blue Tunic, not to mention collecting all 20 hearts made me feel a little complete.

  13. Due to "Age of Ultron" coming out last week, I figured a medley of "The Big Three" Avengers would be something cool to do.  OverClocked ReMixers have created at least two medleys for the Apex albums for the MvC series

(Judge, Jury, Executioner [Phoenix Wright and She-Hulk]

    &

Anxiety [Dormammu, Akuma, Galactus, Dr. Doom, Phoenix, Dr. Strange])

I figured some more of the Marvel Heroes deserve their chance to shine.

Of course I'd be just as satisfied with just an Iron Man and Captain America Medley (what with "CA3: Civil War" coming to theaters next year).

  14. Hearing Yuga hum his own theme song as he imprisons the priestess in a painting during the opening was pretty cool. There was something about that moment that made it perfectly apparent that the composer knew he had made a real earworm with his theme.

Really? I never noticed that. That is a nice little piece in the game. I always find it cool when a character hums or whistles a popular theme song. Such as Conker the Squirrel with "Windy & Co." or Viewtiful Joe with the "Super Mario Bros." theme (while he's waiting for one of his "Shocking Pink" bombs to detonate [Viewtiful Joe 1]).

Either way, Yuga and his theme are both welcome into the Zelda Universe for being so unique.

  15. Hey Zelda gamers, I just finished "Link Between Worlds" last night (after playing it like crazy for the last week and a half). I will say that the big reveal for Ravio probably made him my favorite character. He was entertaining to begin with, but imagining his design, it's like if Link had an dark-haired, taller brother. Other than that, I really enjoyed the Treacherous Tower. Survival mode challenges are some of my favorite things in video-games, as they are a good test of strategy and skill.

What about you guys? What were some of your favorite moments in "Link Between Worlds"?
