I can see why you say what you say about melody. None of your tracks have any compelling melody going on... you have some dense textures and good ambient stuff but nothing grabs my immediate attention.
that's alright but it isn't for everyone, and it sure aint the "right" way to do it.

I've been searching for information on how music and sounds were made for old video-game consoles (8 and 16 bit).
I'm mainly interested on the system capabilities and the process it took to create those songs and sounds!
I found some stuff already but I want to know more on this, you guys got any ideas?

[Game Jam Entry - Sci Fi Fun]

I made this for "Porto Graphics Game Jam" , a really nice game jam in my country, for our game "Phase Fight".
Made in only a day, I spent the remaing hours working on sound FX. 
Kinda proud of the final result, production and writing wise! 
What do you guys think? I feel like doing some more of these.

 

[Searching for some not-so-realistic sounds]

Hi everyone.

I'm working on a song for a rpg game with pixel art style.

I'm almost done with the song but I'm afraid it might not fit the game as well as I wanted because I'm using libraries of actual recordings of real instruments (you know, those ultra realistic Orchestra libraries..).

Basically I wanted to know if there's anything out there that I can use for this type of music that's not so realistic, kinda like the zelda franchise OSTs.

Any recommendations?
