Soooo.....I've been here since about 2016, but I'm really starting to be more active and serious about game audio and composition. I've been a fan of OCRemix since I found it in 2016 and have been a game audio fan for about all of my life. I have been making music since 2014. HUUUUGE fighting game fan so, #FGC representation right here. I hope to get to network and meet new people here as well as learn the best I can!

This may be more like something someone just noticed because that person just passed away, which is understandable, more so because - obviously - 70's R&B and disco could be at the very far end of music lovers' consciousness in the general Internet. Someone like me who's lived through it is more aware.
Another reason is that this is not the first time White has worked in animation. Earth, Wind and Fire's "Dance, Dance, Dance" was written by White for the soundtrack to Nelvana's "Rock & Rule".
One more reason is that, for myself, anytime I see an English name appear in Japanese music credits for a Japanese program, it's something to be paid attention to. Two examples: one of my favorite soundtracks to one of my favorite animes is from "Riding Bean", created mostly by David Garfield, who's been involved with a ton of soul and jazz artists, featuring vocals from Phil Perry, another 70's soul artist; the kinda-sorta followup anime, "Gunsmith Cats", was composed by Peter Erskine, who's performed as a drummer with Weather Report and Steely Dan.

Interesting. Might check that game out.

Also, I'd like to point out LoD's soundtrack greatness....Some of its themes are on my hit list for a remix later on down the line.

Let me also add this piece of hell yeah:

Bushido Blade was what honestly pushed me into taking Kendo. It's soundtrack and story (at least #2's story) pulled you in with its unique gameplay. Definitely deserving of a reboot!

It's been quite the journey. Learned a lot along the way. Unless there is more critique (cause I can't think of what I could add/change atm) I'm going to continue working on Asgore's theme.

    Some more PS1 greatness

This game seriously needs a remake or new entry! F-Zero with floating motorcycles! It was tough as nails because they used ghosts of runs from the best players for the AI so the opponents always had near perfect runs, but man was it fun and that Chuck Meyers & Lance Lenhart soundtrack was the best.

My grandpa is a huge fan of the MediEvil games and beat 1 and 2 numerous times. He'd buy a next-gen console if they brought it back. Really good games.

Twisted Metal may have reigned supreme, but Vigilante 8 had a certain crazy charm to it and Star Wars: Demolition needs no explanation.

Not a PS1 game, but I just remembered this. BEST. BOMBERMAN. GAME. EVER. Billy West and Charlie Adler did the voices and it is absolutely hilarious. It's much more vulgar than the other bomberman games, really fast-paced and the animations for when a bomberman is cornered are also really funny. God damn, I miss this game.

This. This so much. It may have followed every trope in the book to the letter, but it did it well. Aside from this, I'd also point to Way of the Samurai for PS2

Also Tales of Maj'eyal, a roguelike. It's free to download or can be bought on Steam to support the dev. Tons of creative classes and skill tree branches. You can be a time-manipulating mage and effectively tear the fabric of time through your meddling to the point where things around you are exploding and/or teleporting. Depending on how you build your character, that could be a good thing or a terrible thing. isn't that enough? Includes a classic "Roguelike" mode with permadeath, an Adventure mode(limited revives) or an Exploration mode for those who just want to enjoy the awesome story and lore.

The Legend of Dragoon...very underrated game and should have honestly been continued, imo.

Saitoshi_Sama got a reaction from T- Ape in Rival Schools - Pacific High 1
Rival Schools was one of my favorite fighting games that Capcom produced and one I feel they should reboot along with it's sequel: Project Justice.

This is the first theme of the Pacific High School team. I added a touch of the original sound to it with the trumpets but decided to make it a little more modern as opposed to the original. I made it longer than the original, but I tried to add a few elements to show the struggle of Roy, Tiffany, and Bowman being brainwashed as the story reveals. I also tried to add elements of each character in this theme. Roy with his cocky and cool nature. Tiffany with her bubbly and out there personality. And Bowman with his gentle, yet massive presence. Hopefully, I've captured in this sound what I want you guys to hear. HOPE YOU ALL ENJOY!!!

Hey, guys. So, I just found out about OCR yesterday and after tweeting them, they led me here. I've been admiring VGM since I was a kid but only started making mixes about six months ago. I hope to turn it into a professional thing soon. Glad to be here and can't wait to meet and work with you guys, whoever that may be lol
