  1. yeah i've been playing FF3 and EBA alot lately. Both are great games, but like somebody mentioned the touch screen is pretty useless in FF3. What's up with the DS being sold out everywhere? My brother randomly wants one now and he's all like "it's soldout, stupid nintendo) Also off topic but while he was looking for Ds's he found 10 ps3's at a gamestop.

  2. Blah on my temperamental wireless router. For some reason I periodically lose a connection. I lost a connection while updating my Wii and its stuck at the update screen even though I got my router kicked back into place. I don't wanna hurt anything by turning the Wii off =|.
I had that same problem for awhile, what worked me was changing the wireless channel. depends what kind of router you have, but i've got a linksys. Just go into your configuration, type that IP number into your webbrowser.. think the linksys one is 192.168.1.1 then go to wireless chanels or something like that, and i think theres 8 to select from but i forget which mine is on, but it works now.
  3. I'd just like to randomly say that it's getting annoying when people say "oak-uh-rina" instead of "ock-uh-rina". That bother anyone else?
I've always said "ock" instead of "oak" and have been corrected several billion times. Which is the correct way to say it? Is it like potatoes.. and er.. potatoes? (you know what i mean!) It's always annoyed me when people say "Bond 64" or just "Bond" when they were referencing Goldeneye64.
  4. I've been collecting the golden bugs but am currently stuck. I've got everything but 2, and they are apparently in the Sacred grove. I'm right after the 4th temple, and have gone to N. faron woods right after the spinning bridges and the tight rope stuff. I enter the sacred grove and it's like sealed off, i can't get in. I seem to remember leaving the place a different way than i came in, but don't exactly remember, also i have no warp point (maybe i missed it? wtf) I need those damn bugs!

  5. Quick question, where do you guys go to get loot to sell? I'm still fairly early in the game, I just finished getting the Dawn Shard and I've spent a couple hours cleaning out the Lhusu Mines of skeletons. The bone fragments sell for 193 a pop (99 x 193 = 19,107) plus if you get a good chain going on the skeletons they drop Iron helmets too which go for 700 I think. Plus you get over a hundred license points in about 15-20 minutes. Plus it let me lever up my characters a bunch. My main party of Vaan, Basch and Fran were all above level 20 and the other three were around level 12. This let them catch up very fast, and now they're all around level 25 and I've made Penelo into a pretty decent mage and worked out a pretty decent set of gambits. I think I've spent too much time playing this game in the last few days...
Selling bone fragments from the lhusu mines is what i did early on, you can also try doing some of the bounty hunting clan stuff, it's not much money, but i think you get better rewards later on. I had alot of trouble with Gil early on. I started to realize you really only need 3 sets of armor, since you can only use 3 characters in battle , but if all your characters are different clases then that may not work.
  6. slight spoilers maybe, not plot specific just about leveling characters and stuffs. so...

    SPOILERS

im like 40 something hours in, right after the draklor laboratory. All my characters use sword+shield except for fran who is stuck on bows. They all use swords because i have like 6 Deathbringers, which is a pretty awesome sword you can get kinda early on, so it kind of ruined my class specific characters. I mainly use Ashe, Vaan and penelo, Ashe and penelo are my support characters and vaan is mostly into technics. Also i wouldn't worry about some of your characters being lower leveled early on, when you get to that first town in the empire you can get that item that gives you 2x exp. The embroidered pin.. or something. Vaan was level 45 and basch was 28.. and i leveled him up to 48 in like 4 hours or something like that.

  7. I sold my old DS to a friend of a friend for 40 bucks after i got my lite, i was just gonna trade it in at EB or gamestop anyway, i didn't bother checking a price. But my friend (who's very DS obsessed) is selling his old one for 90 dollars to some poor kid who thinks it's an awesome deal. The worst part of it is he's like "my ds is in mint condition and i'm doing that kid a favor!" cuz apparently used DS's are 105 bucks or so he said. It doesn't burn me as much that he's getting twice what i got, i just don't see how he can do that and claim he's a good friend or whatever when the Lite is like 30 bucks more.

Anyways, on topic i can't wait for Point Blank to come out, i called Gamestop today, because that's what their site says, but the dude said it'd be in thursday.

  8. Am I the only guy here happy with hs old style DS? sure this Lite looks good but ts not that much of an upgrade. Besides with Metroid Prime rocking and New Super Mario is due in 4 days, then Brain Training on the 15th having spare cash floating around will be a little hard to get hold of for the next couple of weeks.

I'm fine with the old DS design, the only qualms I have with it is the screen brightness, the small cracks allowing dirt in when it's closed and it's size.

I also rather like the original shape - the Lite design seems a little bland to me. Also the GBA gamepak stick out on the lite, which I definitively don't like as I either have a GBA game or a M3 cart in there pretty much all the time (And the M3 already sticks out somewhat).

I didn't know GBA games stuck out of the lite like that until i just tried it. They sort of fool you with the cover i guess, i never took it off.
  9. So i picked up my DS lite today, stupid target breaking the street date. It's pretty nifty, except i didn't expect the outside to be so shiney.. it's like the PSP sort of, but alot less fingerprint-ey. Dunno if this is right thread since it's not exactly a game, but i didn't feel like making another DS thread with one active. DStarget.jpg

  10. Sweet chickens...

This thread is still alive? Amazing.

Um...the penultimate Doc Ock fight in Spider-man 2 is tough, in an annoying sense. You know, the one where you have to shut down all the panels, while an invincible Doc Ock wails on you?

    Logic dictates: "Keep moving!"

...but it's kinda hard to keep moving when 90% of the room is engulfed in an unpassable fusion reaction. I blame poor game design.

I hated the mysterio fight, the one on Elis Island and you have to swing up the statue of liberty and hit those baloons, that was just annoying.
