  1. God I don't envy students today. (Well, I'm trans, so I do and I don't. That wasn't really an option when I was in school.). I was a terrible student because I thought it was largely a waste of time. I thought my time was better spent hacking my DS than getting good grades. It has to be even more emphatic during a pandemic. But you also can't get the in-person practice at life that University is great for.
  2. Not trying to start any drama. But I'm reminiscing about the old days when I used to frequent this place. The site used to look like this: https://web.archive.org/web/20050309050153/http://www.ocremix.org/ When the redesign went live, I upset the pretzel by posting a greasemonkey script to make it look a little more like that. He deleted my entire post history and banned me. I was unbanned shortly after, but I decided to leave anyway. From all the unfamiliar usernames, it looks like almost everyone I knew has gone (Hello liontamer and darkesword though!). This was the last forum that I frequented. I miss the old internet before these stupid upvotes and downvotes, and you could just have a conversation. I love you all for keeping it alive.
  3. Theme song just hit the playstation store in wav format. Free!
  4. I've been using Linux full time since Ubuntu 4.06, which I guess was over 4 years ago. It works well for me. The only reason I keep Windows around is for games, and for work purposes (I am a games developer, and most development tools are for Windows). Oh, and to mount a drive in dosbox, you would simply do this: mount c /home/toadofsky (or whatever your username is) And the best source of information is Google. Given the amount of people using Ubuntu, support is usually a quick search away. But it will usually take you to wiki.ubuntu.com
  5. Not anymore. I'm a licensed Nintendo developer now. That's why Dissonance has been discontinued. Although I do toy with the idea of resurrecting it as a retail product from time to time. EDIT: BTW, if you ever make any significant changes to the code base, it would be appreciated if you contributed it back to me. It's not required by any means, but I would like to keep an updated copy for my own purposes. The source will also be hosted on my website. Email is the best way of reaching me. (It can be found on my site)
  6. http://grey.drunkencoders.com Source code for ClanOCR is on the Projects page. It's under a BSD license, so you are free to do pretty much whatever. I'm kind of washing of my hands of it myself though, as I am very very busy these days. I'll drop by the Skype chat every now and then though. I think that the first priorities for changes to the app should be something like this: - Setting for marking yourself as online (enter in how long you are going to be online, in minutes) - Adding lists of friends that you have registered. - Sorting by category. (this one might be more difficult than you think) Good luck with it anyways. =) I tried to make it as extensible as I could. It creates some problems, but it should be easy to create new games.
