    Texture Pack for the new client!

    Instructions are in the zip, but I'll copy it here too:

    Make sure Minecraft isn't running!

    Place OCRTexturePack.zip inside the following folder:

    - for Windows 7:

    C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\texturepacks

    Now close all open folders, run Minecraft and select the pack from the Textures selection screen!

    Enjoy!

    Much easier to install and enjoy!

    I went exploring to the Northeast and came across these:

    A tree growing on a floating dirt island. Kinda cute.

    This natural formation is just awesome. It's unfortunate noone can build there without destroying it (as soon as you touch it, all the sand will fall down.) But damn if I wasn't impressed. There was even a lavafall to the side that I forgot to screencap.

    Ok Fire, I'm gonna float myself as a potential server host. I recently bought a new decent modem/router so my connection is nice and solid now. CPU is only a couple months old (i7) and I run nothing else.

    The only two cons I can think of are that I'm in Australia, so the server might be more laggy for everyone due to distance, and I'd need to leave my computer running 24/7, which would cost me a lot more than it does currently. I'd probably make it so you need to give me a dollar to be whitelisted on the server each month just to cover the extra juice.

    Thoughts?

    Edit: of course, if the more well-funded individuals on here wish to buy credits for other people who are up to their eyes in debt, I'd be happy for that, it'd certainly make you popular.

    i dont think that worked quite as well as the previous one did. sure, its way more popular than 6 people on 3 servers. but wouldnt that just imply that there should be way more people on those 3 servers... or maybe its just those 3 servers that arent that popular. and as such... i really want a "meet the doctor". because meet the spy, meet the sniper, and meet the scout. were the greatest things outside of pixar.

    Minecraft's server is a serious oinker. I'm not sure what it's doing, but it sucks down CPU power and memory, plus does a lot of disk access.

    It literally uses more resources than all 3 (4 if you count Spengboob, which is paying to host their TF2 server here, too) of our TF2 servers combined.

    Notch has admitted there are several MP bugs that need ironing out. He's made them top priority. Once MP is fixed up, Minecraft should shrink dramatically in CPU, memory and disk usage.

    why are we building highways when waterways are so much faster to get around in?

    I like building them, and it's nice to walk along them. Alternative travelways are a good thing. I use highways and canals.

    Also I've finished my Tanker project on the docks, so if you wanna check it out, come have a looksee. Has a big indoor area in the hull. I'm looking for ideas for what to put on and in it!

    The bridge is going nicely now. You'll find it directly south of spawn for now, until I find time to extend it north. Feel free to continue it or branch off it to make your home if you haven't started one already
