  1. 95% sure I'll be attending, along with a friend of mine who's a big OCR fan (pity he still hasn't gotten around to signing up yet). Just gotta book the flight, register, and get the hotel room. Two cross-border trips in one year? I'm game. Well, two trips within the span of one year, not necessarily the same year, and....I'll just continue to mumble to myself over here. But yeah, so far it's looking like a good chance that I'll be attending this event.
  2. Oh, damn. I sincerely hope he pulls through this. I've always been pulled to his work, and he is an inspiration to me and my music. I'm not the praying type, but I'll keep you in my thoughts, bLiNd. Get better soon, you're not done yet.
  3. Here is a demo version of a song I've just recently finished, under the working title of "Attack Mode Engage". http://www.sendspace.com/file/59jxoy Mixing still leaves something to be desired. I'm looking to see if anyone would be interested in mixing/mastering the song. Inspired by: Vince DiCola Keith Arem The Panic Division 30 Seconds to Mars AFI Guess I'll list the programs used in the making of this little track: Audacity Guitar Pro 5 Guitar Rig 2 FL Studio 7 (Ha ha, I should have probably tried investing in a better microphone first, lol. XD) So...comments? Suggestions? Anyone interested in mixing/mastering the song? NOTE: I know the guitar solo section is short. This is the first time I've ever tried to actually compose a guitar solo, instead of getting a local guitarist to screw around until he comes up with a solo, lol. Also, I do plan on putting vocals to this. I'm just having trouble coming up with lyrics at the moment. XD
  4. Alrighty then, here we go. I'm currently working on a slower acoustic/"orchestral" version of my song "Rekiah's Theme: We Leave Tonight". Now, I know that it would be foolish and unfair of me to not link you to the original version(well, in this case, a "LIVE" sounding version of the original). Also, pardon my mixing skills, as they are VERY amateur-ish. Maybe it's the fact that I'm operating on a moderate-to-severe hearing loss(permanent, sadly), but I just can't seem to get all tracks mixed in a satisfactory way. So anyway, here is the slower acoustic version: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=SQ0L8E93 (If you people know of a better file-sharing site, let me know, please.) And here is the original, you can find at the top of the list on my Myspace page: www.myspace.com/chaokaze (I'm aware of Myspace's quality loss. I'll try to get a download up to a higher quality version soon.) So yeah, any thoughts/comments/suggestions on the acoustic version would be greatly appreciated. And even though I am a newbie, I urge you to be brutally honest. I know I need much improvement, I just need to know which areas specifically, lol. EDIT: Also, the drums and bass were done by a friend of mine who goes by the aliases Admiral Amara and Amara(GamingForce Forums).
  5. Alright, since this is the place for introductions, here's mine: Just a little note, though: I actually signed up here a LONG time ago, like, a few years ago. How many exactly, I do not know. However, I never got a chance to post anything. This was mainly because of constant distractions. And over time, I forgot my username and password, so even when I wanted to post, I couldn't. Ok, now for the actual introductory stuffage: I'm pretty laid-back, although from time to time, I'll make smart-ass jokes. HOWEVER. I only make those types of jokes when appropriate. I also make a point not to post in a topic if I have nothing relevant to say, even if the topic is immensely intriguing. Also, as it may not be painfully obvious, I am a musician, currently working on material for my first album, a rock/heavy/electronica/classical/ambient hybrid under the title of "The Voices of Defeat". (I can see the eyes rolling now, lol.) I'm also trying to remix a few tracks, but at the moment, I'm finding it easier to make completely original material than to remix. Why, I don't know. I'm currently working on a remix of the opening theme and the Dolphin Park music from WaveRace 64, and "Speed Nation" from RidgeRacer 64. I actually have a list of tracks I'd like to remix in the future, such as: Gorgeous Castle stage - Mystical Ninja: Starring Goemon End Credits - Perfect Dark Cruise Control - RidgeRacer 64 Speed Highway at Dawn - Sonic Adventure Angel City - Blast Corps. But yeah, the only one that I've actually made some progress with is the WaveRace 64 remix, which I've titled as "Azure Crescent". I also work in other fields of art, such as drawing(anime only, though, lol.), literature(I have a bunch of stories I'm working on now. Trust me, you do NOT want me to list all of them.), and photography. What can I say? I love art, lol. So, by now, your eyes and your mind are probably screaming, "when does this guy shut up?!". Ha ha. I realize this is a little long and filled with possibly irrelevant information, so I'll stop my intro here. So, this is my long overdue, and insanely drawn out way of saying: "Hi. I'm new." ^^'
