Is this an official OCR project? Because it seems weird that it isn't in the Projects board yet.
-
Amazing! Nice to see you get a mix on OCR! I'm a huge fan of your Turrican 2 Intro mix and this one is just as awesome!
-
This one happens in Sonic 2. If you had all 7 emeralds and 50+ rings and jump after crossing the goal, Sonic does his transformation move and then gets stuck in the walking animation in mid-air. If you do this at the right time, then you can't move and the Act Clear stuff doesn't appear. You'd have to reset the game since the clock stops after you cross the goal.

On top of that, we've still got an absolutely mind-blowing secret that we've kept up our sleeves that'll reveal itself when the time is right Not gonna drop hints or anything but keep in mind that the biggest bombshell of the project is still yet to be revealed!
Let me guess. The album is in reality the soundtrack for DKC3 HD, right?

: I don't think I have to explain why this theme is so good. Every time I listen to this theme, it invokes memories of when I played this game for the first time.: Ditto my last comment.: You can feel just how evil Ganondorf is by listening to this theme. It sends chills down your spine, and it perfectly represents the kind of character that Ganondorf is.

This sounds like it could fit into a Bejeweled game. The instruments definitely sound like those on Bejeweled songs. And I love it!
You took an already eerie song and made it even more eerie. Awesome.

WOOOHOOO! SO glad they're giving that game a sequel!
...where the hell is the E3 Nintendo thread?

Alright, I am ecstatic to report that, as of this moment, we're walking away from our 3-day mastering... fest with 60 final WAVs that are all properly adapted for gapless playback. This is a pretty monumental accomplishment, and we can expect the last 10 songs that we don't quite have mixed down in the next week (with perhaps only one or two exceptions.)
Needless to say, the project is VERY close to completion. I'm gonna encode/tag everything tonight and tomorrow and start prepping the final release package for submission to OCR. In the meantime, we'll also be pumping out a final video preview for your listening/viewing pleasure in the next week. You'll also finally see a preview of what we're doing with the artwork, which I can confidently say is the most unique artwork package of any project yet.
That's the status so far, everybody's contributions are sounding unbelievably good and me and Flex are both very proud of how it's turning out. Hopefully you'll agree when this drops!
60 tracks? You could release it now and still beat the record for longest OCR album by length and quantity.
70 tracks... This album's gonna be around 5 hours

We're next in line.
This excites me. Tremendously.
-
this is bullshit. I demand a recount!
congrats, guys
-
20 of my hard earned dollars are now yours!
Although that doesn't even come close to what you guys have given me over the past 10 years.
-
Really enjoying this one. Can't wait to hear the finished product
-
Time to start the Sonic CD project...
Here's the big question. Japanese or American soundtrack?
-
Just wondering if this project is still happening. Volume 2 was scheduled to come out in Q1 of this year...and we're well in to April with no sign of it. What happened?
Either delays with production or the really long ass Album queue here on OCR.
As someone who just got into Final Fantasy V recently, I loved the first volume and really look forward to the 2nd volume. V has a really great soundtrack

4/01/11: I'm sorry guys, but have you seen all the shit that's coming out soon? Larry informed Kyle earlier this morning that we've been pushed back on the release schedule until early 2012. It's out of my hands, I'm sorry.
Could be worse. The project could have been pushed back to 2013, which meant no one would hear it since we would be too busy being dead from whatever shit kills us all in 2012.

The lack of Banjo-Tooie in this thread gives Gruntilda more life force.
Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story deserves a mention too.
-
I wish I was surprised but the truth is that after 14 years of this shit, we should have seen this coming.
-
Nice! Love the ambient sound in this track! Looking forward to hearing it finished!
-
This is proof that chiptunes can save any song
-
inside the castle walls is unremixable as far as I'm concerned
someone call protodome
seriously
When all else fails, call protodome.
Someone turn on the protodome signal.
-
The beginning of this track really has that 16-bit Genesis feel. I think it's because of the drums. This is a halc trac, so it is awesome to no surprise.
-
Why is Clash of the Titans labeled as a remix of Battle (VS Trainer)? It sounds more of a remix of the Champion Battle from GSC
-
Meh, I'll wait for the inevitable remake version in a couple of generations.
-
Yeah. Back then, most of us were hoping the album would be out soon after that track was posted as a preview

I'm a fan of 20th century classical music, and I enjoyed playing David Shaffer and Jacob de Haan pieces in high school. Definitely check them out.
